Ok, first time posting a pic, so hopfully it works.

Signal chain goes:

Ernie Ball Volume (tuner out to tuner)
Morley AB-Y
A to Sansamp, then to amp input 1
B to TB / feedback loop
In loop:
MXR distortion + (modded, don't ask how, my friend did it)
Original EHX Little Big Muff
Dunlop bass wah
Boss PH-2 (re-housed in crybaby w/treadle controlling rate)
Boss noise suppressor
Boss DD-20
Amp input 2

The pedals aren't exactly arranged based on signal order, but more for playability. I'm getting more and more into effects, and I plan on building or buying a few different filter type effects, as well as a tremolo, reverb, more delays and more overdrives/fuzzes.

Hopefully I didn't jack up the picture. If so, flame on (and please tell me how to do it correctly )

Thanks, Crabby...I'll give this a try! What mode do you have your Bass-Drive set to? Also, how fuzzy do you have the LBM set?

I like the Fulltone set to FM mode as it has a nice open tone to the overdrive that doesnt colour the sound too much.

The Little Big Muff, I have the gain set to about 9 or 10 oclock, the tone quite high around 2-3 oclock and the volume around 10 oclock. I found that you need to bring up the volume a bit to help the pedal "wake up". Both of these pedals continue to amaze and inspire me.

It's kind of a ghetto pedal now because it was my first try at re-housing (the switch is a little touchy, not TB, crappy knobs, messy inside, etc.), but it works, and sounds like it should so I probably shouldn't complain too much. I really like being able to change the rate on the fly though. It's especially fun in the feedback loop, because it make siren sounds, and I can make it go from long, slow wails to fast, seizure-inducing chirps really quickly. I want to mod it further to be able to switch the wave shape with my foot too. I like my effects to be interactive, so I may end up building more pedals into wah housings in the future.

Order aside (as that is irrelevant at this point until you start experimenting with order), I see two issues with this chain:

1) Why do you need the Hum Debugger? Yes, it's useful, but only if your problem is hum. In other words, it's the answer to anyone using vintage or noisy pickups. However, it does nothing for other types of noise, including hiss. Are you using a Jazz bass or something with problematic single coils (the most popular applications for the Hum Debugger)?

2) I noticed you have both an MXR Micro Amp and an Ernie Ball volume pedal. How much control do you really need over your volume? Is the ability to sweep your volume levels high or low essential, or do you really only need a boost?

I chose the hum debugger because, as you say, I'm dealing with a tricky J-pup on my Yamaha, and I knew that the HD was one of the best pedals to get rid of it. Anyway, is there any other pedal to get rid of hum AND hiss (specially hum)?

I want the boost to get louder than I would with the EB full open, and use the ernie ball to control the overall volume, I hope you catch the point.

Why don't you put the compressor in front of the octaver... The Octabass will sound even better!!!

Tried that.. the compressor has some weird effects on the octave's tracking and notes tend to break up a lot more when sustained. I thought the same thing, though.

As you mention it's subtle side, it's probably the ol'traditional 4 stages circuit. Have to drop EH an E-Mail to be sure though.

The Polyphase has one major advantage, the other three competitors don't have. I can most likely check it out in a store in Poland, before deciding. No chance to see the others here.
