Well I suppose that I'll post my board even though it is not finished.

So I need to lighten the load on the actual board because being made of mdf it weighs as much a my guitarists Fender Deluxe. I have diy boost that is being boxed up and the arion delay is getting replaced. You know and then I need every pedal ever made.

i keep wanting to make a new streamlined effect board/case... but i keep remembering that I dont gig anymore =(

its much harder to justify doing things when you wont be doing anything productive with them... like having expensive pedals like the POG and the JamMan...

Well.. here is the start of my board..
Sorry for the bad Mobilephone camera image..

Got the plywood yesterday.. sanded it down, Drilled it.. (marked with the blue circles..) wrapped it with "speakerfleece".. mounted the 10plug..
Routed the powercables through the holes and the GeorgeL cables that are soldered with Neutric plugs (LOVE'M!) in one end.. (Right angled GeorgeL plugs in the other.. just for nicer and easier routing..)

This is a 78x48 board.. it should fit nice in the 80x50 rockcase.. that Im buying today!

EDIT: The Q-tron and Multiplexer ended up that way cus I use them together more than seperate.. so.. they got aligned for easy stompin

I bought a Gator Pedaltote w/ built-in power supply this week to replace my "flight board". [...]

I'm really happy with it. The power supply works great (I've done two live shows & recorded in a high end studio with it) and the board/bag combo design fits my travel needs perfectly! I was worried the power supply might be noisy & cause problems, but it is totally silent & buzz free!

I only had to add a couple of locking 1/4" jacks (I'm a stickler about these on my 'boards).

Does the bag have a shoulder strap? I've been looking at a Pedal Tote for my double bass "rig" (preamp, tuner, A/B switch for doubling), but easy carrying is always an issue with the doghouse

Nope, no shoulder strap unfortunately.

It wouldn't be difficult to stitch on 2 "D-Rings" to accept a strap, if you have access to someone with sewing skills.

It would have been nice if they had included a removable strap!

But.. as you can see.. Itll fit anyways.. and thats the important thing..

I think Ill even get it to fit beside the chorus once I get the right angled plugs solderd for every patch..

Uh yeah I have four latches two on each side...which with the latches I used works better than front and back. The trick is when attatching them to leave enough space inbetween so that it is a tight close. The only real problem is that it is too heavy. I'm thinking I'm going to modify it with a rails system, and change up the second level. whada you guys think?

It's just my opinion, but the second level seems unnecessary with the pedals you have. Wouldn't they all fit on the first level if you just made it two rows deep?

It's hard to see what's going on with those small pics, though...

yeah it was supposed to leave room for expansion... now I don't think that I'll have that much expansion.

I want to set up a fairly large board, around 15 pedals. With all of that, plus the noise from the pickups, I'm pretty sure that it could get fairly noisy, so I'd want to limit it with, say, an MXR Noise Gate. But would that defeat the purpouse of using a feedback loop? Would the MXR recognize the feedback loop, when activated, as noise and cut it down?

are you putting all your pedals in the feedback loop?

and the noise gate would definitely let the feedback through, as long as it's loud enough. if it were me, i'd put the gate after the loop.

I just love it... Itll never get off my board..
It's way more simple than the POG.. but.. maby thats a good thing?
Ive tried EBS, MXR, BOSS and Ashdown..
All the octave pedals generate some color to your sound..
Thing is.. the sound the EHX generates is a warm one..
It keeps up with a 4string down to F on the E-string... open e-string gets to muddy for my taste..

Althoug other pedals may* have better tracking.. this one sounded by far the best to me...

It't kickass with the q-tron..
Give it a honk.. As long as you put it before the Q-tron.. put it after = DIZASTER!!

*I actually think this one tracked just as good.. or better than other "pure" bass octavers..

I have no intention of using crap pedals, just the opposite really. The Plan is for the overall layout to go like this:

Bass->Boss RC20XL Looper->Planet Waves Pedal Tuner->EBS Multicomp->Xotic Trilogic Preamp-> MXR Phase 90->Barge Concepts VFB-X(Into Loop)- EHX Little Big Muff-> Homebrew Henotoma-> EHX Clone Theory-> EHX Mini Bassballs-> Ibanez Analouge Delay(Back into VFB)->VFB(Out into Effector 13 MVEP)-> Ernie Ball Volume-> Fulltone Fatboost->Amp.

Notes on the board:
1). I could place the loop before or after the pedal board itself, I haven't decided yet, I'll experiment when the project is finished, or close to it.
2). I choose the Ibanez over the Maxon for two reasons, cost and board space. And from my experience its a great little pedal for what I'm after.
3). I plan to use the EB Volume as kind of an expression pedal for the FatBoost as an overdrive. The idea is to put the EB on max, push the Fatboost until the amp begins to overdrive a little, keep the FatBoost there, but back the EB off some. So then I have the option of boosting the FatBoost into overdrive, but I still have the option to turn my volume down, and I wont have to worry about getting to the FB's switch.

Once I start getting most of these in (I'll order them in groups of 2 or 3 at a time, in order of how soon I NEED them to the ones that I just want), I'll order a Planet Waves pedal kit, then a second kit as I start to require it (I need it with that many).

As far as powering it, I'll either use the new BBE Supacharger or the VooDoo labs for as many as they will power, and I'll plug the extras into a powerstrip.

So TaySte, you don't think I'll have problems with that, or should I start thinking on a Noise Gate?
