Very much so. To me it has a better sound, and being able to reign in the volume boost with the blend. Plus the distortion gets me the sound that I wanted with the assmaster qtron combo. It doesn't get as synthy, but now I can use the assmaster on it's own as a slayer of all things small and furry, and synthy stuff.

I want to get an analog delay with expression control so I can do some crazy feedback stuff, plus I really miss having a delay.

I find the Enigma sounds more synthy with the distortion when in Band Pass mode. But at the same time you have to turn the blend more towards the clean side to keep the low-end.

I have had mine in Band Pass almost the whole time I have had it. Low pass is nice and deep, but the band pass with some low end dialed in is burpy wet and kinda synthy on it's own.

Thats basically whats going on, although it wasn't quite planned as such; whenever a 2nd Freqbox makes its way onto board one, a few of the dirts will end up on the big board.

The TZF has low headroom.. I just got it a few days ago, while in the middle of the pedal boards, so Ive only spent a few minutes with it, but I can distort it with my clean bass.. so Im really going to have to be careful with this thing and make sure Im stay at/below unity. Ive also not been immediately blown away by the sound like my Polychorus, although I just got it and try not to hold judgement on new pedals with lots of knobs, so hopefully my initial impression will be overshadowed in due time. I need the CV flange sweep though... man I wish they would come out with an XO Polychorus +exp input!! Im not rushing to do anything, but the though of trading the Paradox +$200 or so towards a Lovetone ? Flanger has definitely crossed my mind.

But are you really using them in a band context and live? My pedalboard is half as big as one of yours and I often have to tweak during songs, what I really love to do.
It's ok cause I have like 4 setups for each pedal I use...so I can remember everything and I know what sound will come out of my cabinet before playing a note.

And you got 5 filters!!! (including the complicated barge...)

Or isn't it an overkill?

I would love to hear something of your band!! Or at least some soundclips!
Cause now after you have finally shown your full setup, all the synth-bass-pedal geeks in this forum (including me), would really appreciate it to hear everything you can get out of this monster(s)!!:D

Oh its definitely excessive, but all used regularly the most of the first board is run in parallel, and the big board the same shortly, which swallows up some gear- At least one of the filters is being replaced by a 2nd LS2 for parallel mf101/photron (wonder where that idea came from hha..), but most of what you see stays. I also use a behringer fcb1010 in my setup for the computer stuff... lots of f'ing floor space! Fortunately there's only two of us in the band. The whole point of my putting the boards together is to make it usable in a live setting. I was able to power it up first shot last night, with no bad George L's (and I tugged on all of them to simulate wear as well) so Im feeling pretty good about the thing. I used my Mogami cables where they would fit since they're indestructable, but for the George L's I'd like something soldered- in time..

Here's the text from the pictures in the last thread (didn't make it in BigL's post), as it addresses most of your questions:

"This took forever... I just finished these up tonight and tested them to make sure the george l's and whatnot were all in order. I haven't done the CV/MP201 routing yet (it will only take a few anyway), but everything is velcro'd, patched up, power supplies mounted, one power chord coming out of each pedalboard and the MP201 is powered off the boards as well.

There's a bit of filler at the moment: the second lowpass filter is a placeholder for a MIDI Murf (just for the picture haha.. the 2nd LPF is broken.. spot will be blank 'til I get the murf), because I sold my Bass Murf already a month ago; at least one of the filters' days are numbered, either the Prometheus or Grinder. As much as I love them all... there are just too many filters, but damn if they dont all sound unique and great... Anyway, I'll post pics of the full deal and ramble on in the new thread soon, here's the jist of it:

I've never bothered to finish a pedalboard (velcro, mounted power supply, etc) before because I've never had to take it anywhere regularly, and the setup constantly changes, whether small changes for bass or pulling apart and rearranging for my ...experimentations (noise).. But now that band practice is moving from my living room to a warehouse in a few weeks, I'll need to transport it regularly for the first time.. hence the need to velcro and tie everything together. I have some changes planned already, but its the first time I've had a 'complete' rig that is easy to power, pack, troubleshoot and operate, etc... Good times! "

haha.. I have a thing with numbers, and it apparently transfers well to the pedalboards because Ive never been inclined to mark down settings, and Ive spent enough time with each pedal (except for the Geiger and Paradox) that I can go to just about anywhere on the dial for a certain sound on cue. Ive also been building up presets in the MP201 and have been brainstorming on how to implement a CV patch bay on the big board for efficient CV switching and making the most out of the MP201's 4outs and 50 preset slots. Thanks for the compliment; I haven't posted anything in a while because Ive been working hard on finishing our some of our beats and arranging the songs, and my tones have evolved as well.. all in all Im very happy with the progress and direction! :)

It's a Hermida Audio reverb that I built myself, but when I saw the two screws necessary for holding the reverb box I couldn't help but throw a big bear head on there and use those for eyes.

you can hear guitar clips on the Hermida Audio site, but I've been meaning to record some bass clips. Maybe next week.

It sounds particularly awesome with my EUB.

It's a spring reverb (digital) but I would describe it as giving a nice open airy sound without sounding too springy.
