I've said it before and I'll say it again: any pedal with Sauron on it should be a ring modulator and nothing more.

This is a very old picture. I'm removing the first ODB-3 in the chain and the Vibrothang is currently out of commision. I'm deciding if it's worth it to fix the Vibrothang right now. I'm working on constructing two customized dirt pedals right now. I'll post about those and take a new photo once I get everything I want done with them.

Oh I'm not disappointed, I love that pedal and I'm sure it sounds amazing, considering what it is based upon. It's just my inner Tolkien dork comes out flailing when things that should be obvious are, in fact, not.

So I might contact Mr. Fromel and ask him to Sauron up one of his Emerald Rings for me, who knows? :D

The 442 plays very, very well with dirt in general. I have a clip I did about a year ago with a P bass into a VT1, and in the second half, I half-assed some guitar noise with the same P into a Pickle Pie B then into a 442, which you can listen to here. I was mostly flamenco-strumming power chords, so the up-strokes didn't always open the filter so well, but it'll at least give you an idea of the sound.

My latest set up. I've added the DOD Classic Fuzz and Bass EQ.

I just ordered another looper from Brian at Loop Master. This looper is going to be run off of loop numer 3 of the existing looper you see here. The new one has the ability to switch the sequence of the two loops it has on it. I'm going to hook up the Zoom B2.1u and the Line 6 FM4 to it. I like how some of the Zoom's effects sound through the FM4 filters. But then I like running some of the FM4's synths through the wah on the Zoom. So now I'm going to have the ability to switch them at will. AWESOME!

Also I'm soon going to add what I'm hoping will be the last pedal I need to complete this thing. The Boss RC-2. I was thinking about the Digitech Jamman, but there's just not enough room for it on here.


And now here are a couple of shots of the mess that's underneath this thing.

I'm thinking of attaching a plank of plywood to the bottom of this thing to keep all these cables safe from any snags or anything that might happen. Maybe unscrew the rubber feet from the Pedaltrain, then fit the wood on and screw the feet back on. Anyone try this?

It's weird seeing my board on Latimour's Laptop. I know it's only because he posted shortly after I did. :smug: Nice setup though Mark. I wasn't aware you had an effects problem. :ninja:

I love it. The 442 gets a little dirty all on it's own, but with the OC-2 and the SC,....It kills. I still want a 3Leaf but that will have to wait.

I just sold my Sub to a fellow TBer. :bawl:

It's an awesome pedal, but I need to "thin the herd". Not because I'm trying to downsize, so much as I'm trying to save up for a Invalid Link Removed.

Note that the car is a friends. This was taken last year when we had 3 feet of snow on the ground. It is lifted. I want one and want to preform similar mods to it.

All velcro'd, power supplies mounted, wires cleaned up, 3 power chords for the whole foot pedal setup including the MP-201 and FCB101. Good times! I need to start working on a rack/stand for my computer stuff.


Im battling it out with the filters trying to decide which will get the boot for an LS-2 to take its place; the 2nd LPF is just a placeholder for the Bass Murf I sold and to be replaced by a MIDI Murf..... or leave it off, take the Grinder and Prometheus off and put the MP201 on; this fits.. but the A/B doesn't.. arg... anyway; the A/B cv switcher on the ground will most likely be velcro'd to the side of the MP201 to facilitate tap dancing subdivisions- Im just weighing my options before velcroing... Other plans ahead, but that's the deal for now.

I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I'm up to 5 seperate boards now (damn you talkbass! :)).

This was the first board I ever built, those old brown Boss ones I got new in the late 80s along with that spiffy 'arion' power board. Not really gigging it anymore but has lots of sentimental value:

This is a board for two of my rock bands I'm currently in (one is 80's metal covers and one is more of a 90's rage/corn type). Not sure on the MXR, I kinda like my humphrey bad monkey's tone a little better but using it for another project. Might try some other dirt on it:

Next is my NYC lunchbox for another more 80's nu wave & 70's funk band I'm also in, was even able to velcro a fender tuner above the DC Brick. Been gigging this board for a while, nice combination:

This PT Mini is for yet another band that I'm currrently gigging with (facebook.com/joyrideguam), lots of Kings of Leon, RHCP, 311 kind of stuff. I had a FX25 in here but couldn't find a sweet spot or get it to quack without the volume spikes, so I bought an Auto Q but not quite digging it yet either. Gonna ask the wife for a Groove Regulator for christmas to replace it:

Lastly is a board I'm just getting ready to put together, just got my looper and in/out switch from loopmasters. This may replace my Lunchbox for my 80's nu wave/70s funk band. Haven't had a whole lot of time with the G5 yet but does seem to have many of the synth sounds I need for the gig, want to compare the DI and G5:

On topic: I would post a new picture, but its not all that different from the pic in the last thread and I am expecting some significant changes soon. Watch the classifieds! :)

Off topic (spare me Grygrx, I couldn't help it!): LOTR nerd > Looney Tunes nerd. FTW.
