Just at home and band practice right now, but the goal has always been for live use, I just haven't gotten that far yet in my musical journey.

The FCB1010 controls the beats I make in Ableton Live, and the other guy in the band plays keys/guitar with a looper MIDI sync'd to Ableton. We've been playing together for 9 months now, but Im a relativey new and inexperienced musician having picked up the bass 3 years ago and the other stuff coming afterwards, and the keys/guitar player had never listened to or played any electronic styled music prior to us jamming, so much of the last 9months we've been playing together has been a big learning experience; putting together my boards, learning to make synth tones/MIDI programming/beats, etc, and a lot of time spent jamming and exploring. We've got probably 30+ songs over the last 9 months, but the early stuff was all over the map genre-wise-- not fusion per se, but instead every song being of a completely different genre (When we started jamming I had just started with effects, and my best/first synth sound was OC2+bigmuff+105q). I guess you could say the 'project' started about 6 months ago.

I just got the boards 'completed' (velcro, mounted power supplies etc) for the first time so that they are easy to transport, operate, troubleshoot if need be, etc, and should be reliable for live use, though there are still some little things I'd like to do in that regard. We're moving band practice from my living room to a warehouse in a couple weeks, so I'll be transporting the boards regularly for the first time and will be able to break them and work any kinks out, if any. We have the opportunity to play at a few different events/venues once we have a set together, so the gigs are there :bassist: Its mostly me needing to stay on top of things and keeping the ball rolling (other member has a family, 9-6, etc...) and finished these damn beats, and get a PA for the Ableton rig... and maybe for my bass as well.. and new interface with more I/O's that doesn't occasionally crash my computer (damn pos Mbox2 :spit:), especially MIDI (may just need a seperate midi master or something), and a rack to hold it all... and... and... ugh..

..its getting there.

I know how you feel in some ways... my complete board is for my thrash / hard rock band... only have 6 songs but we've been through 4 lead guitarists so feel like were always back to square 1... the slow gear acquisition and the making sure the songs are top notch before we gig is getting to me but at least I can say we are becoming better musicians for it...

hence my new drum machine + me project... but I won't sidetrack, I'll wait till I have gathered everything I need and then post pictures of the second board when it is all setup... found my cherry pop and TZ2 fuzz today though and soooo including them on the second board :D

Ok, so there's been a fair few changes with my board, notably a new delay.

This is the setup I was using (not wired up in the picture):

This is the setup I'm using in my new band :eek: (not jazz :eyebrow:)...I've got a board on the way for this setup. I'm not quite happy with it, I'm still playing around.

Sunday Morning Bass Looping Board:

Woke up early this morning and wanted to spend some time doing some looping practice. I figured I'd just wire up a board and see where it went....

Was going fine till the wife brought me an english muffin, I assume it was a clever ploy to shut me up.

Replaced the skreddy echo and wedged the clari(not) on there. The singer hated it, lol. I'll probably leave it on to piss him off, it's punk for god sake... I can't just fall into order.

Well.... I barely found that thing a couple of weeks ago sitting in a box in my garage. It's been nearly 10 years since I've seen that thing.

I do believe it was the first pedal I ever got. But back then, I didn't know what the hell I was doing. I had a Peavey 150 watt combo with a 15" speaker. I had that thing on a permanent smiley EQ. Looking back now, gross.

I plugged it in this time and it totally surprised the hell out of me. So I'm still heavily experimenting with it. I haven't played it with a band setting. But right now I have the fuzz on about 50%. Tone about 40%. Heavy dark sound so far. But I'm sure once I play it with a band it'll change.

I bought mine from someone here on TB a while ago. I love that thing, especially when I run ODB(Set for dirty boost)->Classic Fuzz(Crazy Ampeg-Scramblerish setting)->ODB#2(Set for high gain and bring some more bass back in). It gets out of hand.
