Any suggestions for a relative bass noob?

Keep it simple until you know what you want to sound like/ know what tones you need/want for your music.

Don't get me wrong, I suffer from GAS as much as any of these guys, and sometimes I just want the pedal because I've found a bargain, not because I have a use for it. The Bass Synth Wah that I just sold to buy a volume pedal being a case in point.

Latest pedalboard. I am running out of space but a bigger board would be impossible to carry.
Want to try out the memory boy to save some space (I hate the #1 echo volume drop too).
Maybe an ebs tremolo to replace the pulsar (which is cool but the ebs is better).

How do you like the EBS Multicomp?

does anyone here have the Ashdown James Lomenzo hyperdrive pedal? if so, is it good?

yes i do, just brought one last week.
good pedal!
holds the low end really well, the frequency knob is a very good idea, can be used for just adding a little bit of grit and a boost to your sound, or to make it pretty driven.
not a really gritty pedal though. imo i think i'll be needing something else additional for that real dirt!

I was thinking "humble" but that works too.

Ditched the Metal Zone distort pedal. Just couldn't get it to sound good. Gotta find me a Bad Monkey.
Suppose I ought to post the unwired shot, just so we can stay on topic. Just imagine all the pedals (Except for the MT-2) wired and powered up.

Delay is oriented like that because both the in and out on the volume are on the right side of the pedal.

I thought it was a mod to allow just more lower frequencies through- it covers the whole range?

I thought so too, but that is not what I heard. I heard a lot of high end extension on the fuzz side, if there was anything down low I didn't notice it. Of course the low end was well covered with the clean blend. Someone else please correct me if I'm wrong here.

Please note that it is a good fuzz. A really, really good fuzz, particularly with a high output active bass. It just wasn't for me.

All the clips I've heard leave me greatly preferring silicon version anyways. I'm just curious now how different the modded and unmodded silicons sound compared to one another. They're just never for sale when I have the dough

I long ago came to the conclusion that you simply cannot go wrong with Malekko. I don't even like reverb and I'd probably enjoy the Screaming Chicken.

Also I just played an octaver into a Noise Box for the first time ever. I almost pooped myself. I'll be doing that again.

The silicon assmaster is simply amazing. It's not for everybody, but it's hard to keep looking for more fuzz. Having said that I can't help but wonder what is still out there.

And the noisebox is pure chaos. Try a whammy pedal into one if ya can....
