waitwaitwait... Someone who actually has a Boss PS-5? Do you actually think it sounds good??? I've given that pedal several chances and it keeps slapping me in the face!

Well i pretty like it! It's good for those crazy whammy style s**t and playing with low octave. I admit that sometimes the sound is a little wobbly, after all the tracking is not as good as a in a Whammy or a POG (hard to find them in my area....Israel), but it's no worse than the much appreciated OC-2. Once you get used to it, its ok.

I use the Pitch Shift and Tremolo Arm modes adding high or low octave and sometimes a high 5th.

Nice board duba! Can you tell me more about the case you used? Do you know what kind of foam is at the top/where I can find some?

I took the case of an old medical appliance. It fitted perfectly to my needs and already came padded. I have a factory in my city(Ashkelon, Israel) where they make this kind of foam, but I don't think you'll go this far to buy it.

I just couldn't get past the bad tracking and warbly sounds... whammy is so much better for pretty much the same price... whammy isn't perfect either, it could take a lesson from EHX, but its much better than the PS-5

If I had a need for such a device, I would pick up a PS-5. Used by itself, I think it stacks up pretty well against a Whammy. It seems as though a lot of people base their experiences on the Boss display demo's at music stores that have all of their pedals daisy-chained. ANY pedal that is sensitive to input signal integrity is going to suffer from such a long signal chain. Don't get me wrong, the PS-5 isn't perfect, I just don't find it to be as bad this board would indicate. YMMV.

I ran it by itself from a battery with an expression pedal. I REALLY wanted to like it, though. I mean, REALLY, REALLY wanted to like it... it just wasn't acceptable for me...

the whammy costs $200 USD new here, new the PS-5 is $180 maybe $160

but thats understandable if the prices are different, but around here they cost about the same

A few hints :)
The feedback loop is interactive with all the pedals and their controls in the loop, particularly fuzzes, filters and Wahs. start twiddling all them knobs.

Most of the time I use it with my wah to change the pitch like aTheremin and play a bassline underneath.

I spent the last 2 days rearranging my bedroom set up.

(I dont have anything better to do, since i quit smoking crack)

You cant see it, but the Boss SYB-3 is on top of the Trace head. It is all by itself in the high pass loop of the Trace.

The stuff in the rack is in full range loop.
dynamic wah, and MXR octave in bi-filter loop

effects on floor go in front of the amp.

Sounds really cool like this.

Man I just had the best jam in a while. Main reason I think, is the new bassball nano I purchased yesterday :bassist: I love those things. (my old bassballs bit the dust)

I had the syb synth going, the bassballs, the synth wah, both filters of the bi-filter, octave, flange, AND last but not least, syth-O-matic on the filter pro set on ring.

All tweaked J U S T perfect. Man I love it when I get it all dialed in like I want it.

Since Ive started picing alot, sure sounds good with the bassballs

I like the TV ontop of the rack. classy.

Nice lookin setup though! I love the bass, Kinda like a warlock, but not quite?

I'll have pics of my ever so slowly devoloping bored soon

Ok, here's the start of my board, my first two pedals!!

The Dunlop pedal is a GCB-80 High Gain Volume, the other is the Digitech predecessor to the Bad Monkey. I will either be selling it here soon for a Bixonic Expandora or I will see if Humphrey will mod it for me.

A 105Q and a Gator powered board are in the works...as well as some actual patch cables...:ninja: :help:

This is my current set-up. I'm still deciding whether or not I want to throw out my Boss Super Octave, but we'll see. For now, I'm quite happy with it, just used very rarely. Next up is definitely a TU-2 pedal. Other than that...I'm hoping to get a synth pedal some time before the holidays roll around, as well as a tremolo.

Just finished building the board yesterday. Still playing with the signal chain a bit, but this is proving pretty versatile for now. Built the input and output jacks into the side of the board, the Power into the other side, with the power strip inside, accessible by a latched back door.
