here is my sad start to effects........i like it though....i have every patch set with clean channels in between to make switching easier
Thanks! I think I'm finally happy enough for now that its time to get a board and power supply.

Thought I'd add the recently finished version 2 of my board:
Changes for version 2:
1) switched Pedal Power 2 to a 2nd Power Brick
2) added a Mini Q-tron
3) had the Sparkle Drive modded by Keeley (AWESOME!)
4) Switched my Peterson Strobostomp 2 for a Boss TU-2 due to a loud pop when switched and D.I. buzzed. Had first SS2 replaced and 2nd did the same thing.
(tried them in different venues, ground lift, switched cables, isolated the tuner from chain, battery power vs. power supply, etc. - all the troubleshooting the sound guy and I could think of. In both cases, it was the tuner, without question)
5) put the boost after the tuner
I think my G.A.S. has subsided for a little while... maybe.

That's not a sad start at all! I started with that exact same pedal and even had the same idea of clean patches between effects. Look at it this way... we've all got to start somewhere!

you knowi used common sense i figured if it has 24 ptches just make a clean one in between each one for when my band plays and i need an effect

Here are my pedals. I don't have or really need a proper board for them. They are, '84 EH Micro Synthesizer (modded to bass synth), '78 EH Hot Tubes (way underrated imo), Sovtek Big Muff, Snarling Dogs Blue Doo (a Hot Tubes copy, but not as good), Korg DT10, '80 EH Small Stone, '83 EH Small Clone (just scored this for $30 nonworking, it works now, 80's Ibanez BE10, DIY Big Muff, DIY Dual Compressor, DIY Tremolo/LFO (work in progress), Bass/Treble/Gain Booster.
I will be adding an analog delay and bypass loop soon, and my Brassmaster clone is out for modification at the moment. The Snarling Dogs pedal is soon on the way out, or at least the box will be used for a DIY pedal.

Sounds like a Big Muff. No other way to describe it really. The only reason I have a green one honestly is because i got it for $20. My clone sounds very very similar. I probably couldn't tell them apart in a blindfolded test. Back in the mid 90's I had an old "Ram's Head" Big Muff that I got at a guitar show for $50 (wish I still had it), which at the time was less than the later black and red Muffs were selling for because in those days the black and red ones were the ones everybody wanted and now the "Ram's Head" ones are selling for three times as much as the later ones. Anyway, a friend had a green Sovtek one and when we A/Bed them we thought they sounded pretty much identical. I think the Sovtek was just a hair darker but just barely. In my experience with Bg Muffs, they all sound like Big Muffs with just minor differences. I think vintage mojo ear bias comes into play a lot with them. Was that more than you were interested in knowing?
I find both the Boss MT-2 and HM-2 to be quite good distortions for bass
Also, good move on moving the Whammy up the other end of the signal chain.
The BR-2 is an envelope filter/auto wah
I gave the MT-2 that was hanging around a go these last days, I switch it on in serial with the FT Bass drive, the sound is weird but super sweet !
Waiting for some pedals to arrive. My board's almost done (pedals-wise). Need to get/make some good patch cables then I'll be all set....I'll get a photo up soon...

Nice board! W should start a Pedaltrain Pro club! You and I have very similar setups. Those Dunlop bricks look really cool.
