Yes, I will. I promise! Just waiting for my Toneczar delivery. I hope that that is in about 2 weeks time :)

Your waiting for a Halophaze, right? Have you actually been notified that you are getting one or are you still waiting to hear something?

I got on the waiting list back in January and was told it was going to be a while, towards the end of this year at the earliest. How long have you been waiting?

You got on in January :eyebrow: I wouldn't expect to see that by the end of the year, maybe by the end of next yet and that's only a maybe.

Sorry

I got on the list on the day it opened, 17/8/06.

I got my "halophaze is being built" email a week ago. It should be finished at some point this month I guess.

I would ask "what is the deal with this halophase that everyone wants one?" but I'm afraid I'll want one

Toneczar effects are ALOT of money, and the waiting lists are very long. Everyone I know with one of Ed's effects is very happy. They also had to part with more cash than most people are willing to part with for an effect pedal. They're not for everyone.

Don't get too excited - it's only 450mm x 300mm with 7 pedals, one of which is a buffer and one of which is a DT-10.
:hyper::bassist:

i'm looking forward to it. from what everyone's saying, your board is more about quality than quantity. killah! i'm into it.

Not to raise false hopes (in myself especially since I'm on the list too), but Ed told me he builds each of his pedals in batches. He completes a batch of one model, then begins a batch of the next model. Right now he is building a batch of Halophazes. The reason some people have to wait a couple of years is that it may take that long for him to cycle through building batches of each of his designs. It is actually possible that getting on the list only a few months ago, you might still have made it into the current production run. Or, if not, it might be two years. :)

I'm sure Ed would be cool with me posting this:

I build multiple products in a rotation that is now based largely on what parts I can get and what parts are on backorder.

("old school" analog audio, is no longer any manufacturers priority list, very often when I place a parts order, my money is gladly taken and then the "back order notice", (or substitute parts, which won't work) there will often be a "shipped by" date, which as it turns out, is only a suggestion.)

I took an extra month out of Halophaze and built an extra run of openhaus: Why? Because I had the parts

I just bought... Eeek... A Boss Bass EQ -

The JamMan has a very aenimic output, cuts a LOT of bass. I needed somthing to boost the bass, I tryed one and was blown away. Now mind you this is for noise, not for bass guitar - but when your noise is 20-100hz ya know... But I did buy a JamMan, and its awesome!

Alex

I had a Boss EQ, worked OK on bass, been tempted to get a Bass one for quick all of a sudden tone changes. I used the guitar one when switching styles, like off would be a nice fingerstyle tone and on would be either aggressive fingerstyle or slap (same EQ, just depended on which EQ you used).

When you hear that someone is going to get one soon, you can't help but think that you are close behind them in the order (see the Octron 2 thread). When I got on the list in February, I asked how long the wait would be. The response was "It's hard to say, I'm building a run now, but there's not much chance I'll get to your name in this build rotation."

Don't you just love vague responses. But hey, he doesn't have my money yet, so I suppose he can move at whatever speed he wants.

On the other hand...

I got on the wait list to get a Pedalflanger from Chicago Iron which I DID have to pay for up front. I was quoted a lead time of 6 weeks. Well, six weeks came and went - no pedal. I asked the status and he said he is still waiting to get some long lead time parts that he was told he would get in mid June (which would be a lead time of 10 weeks from when I sent the money), but he said this vendor is notoriously late. I am about 7 weeks and $565 into this and nothing to show for it and no firm date on when I will have something.

Ugh...

I'm really sorry to hear that. Since being burned by a user over at Harmony Central called "Hempathy" to the tune of $150, I no longer go on pay up front deals.

Here's my humble start at an effects setup. I've never messed with them before, but thought it would be fun. Here's what I have so far......lots of room left as you can see. (I don't even have cables yet or power supplies.):D

Hey, How's that nano clone working for you? I'm pretty much decided about getting one myself since it's pretty cheap and real small. had a decent sound when i tried it out but i am still somewhat bothered by the bad reviews.
