My Cinnamon. Sadly she passed about 6 months ago. Totally heartbroken . . .

I completely feel you.
My Minx was almost 21 years old when she passed. She passed almost two years ago... I was late getting to the NAMM Show for setup day because she had passed the night before. So I'll always associate the NAMM Show with losing one of my oldest, dearest friends.

My sincere condolences. And this photo is awesome!

Isn't anyone afraid of their cats using their bass as a scratching post?

Nope. Never once happened in the 25 year+ history of my being owned by cats.

They do love the way they smell. But mine are so used to them they only smell the new ones for a day or two and then they pretty much ignore them.

They do like to sleep on top of my cabs. So I have an old blanket I put on top of them. So they sleep on the old blanket.

Luckily I've never had any damage, knocks, scratches, dings, etc... ever associated with my cats. I wish I could say the same for myself. LOL. I do far more wear and tear than the cats ever could.

I'm sorry to hear about Cinnamon. The pain subsides, but the sense of missing them never goes away.

Hi, this is my 95 pound Golden Newfie Inook doing his favorite thing in front of two of my basses, an ATK 300 ($150 on Ebay with gig bag) and my 57 style parts Precision which I made from various Fender parts found here and there.

This Newfoundland/Golden Retriever mix is great for people who love Newfs but do not have the space for a 160 pound dog. He is 2 and a half years old, very calm, great with small children, requires very little exercise and is a great swimmer.

My basses are not bad either.

I bought an epiphone thunderbird last weekend and the second I opened the case, my cat Nutso came and walked across it sniffing it out. By the time I got my phone out to snap a pic she was out of there lol.

I did recently discover that she likes to claw the grille cloth of my ampeg 810 :/
