Yeah, people don't realise that rats are really, really clever, and ones used as housepets are super clean, and sweet pets.
Everyone around here makes such a big deal about playing fretless bass. Whoopee! Even a monkey can do it.

DOH, stupid me.
Took me a while to figure out why I saw it like that, too.
I pulled out a few Boas and Ball Pythons and took photos with my early Hamer Velocity 2 Bubinga and my Blue Spector Legend 5.
The models are a Peruvian Long tail Boa, Brazilian short tail Boa, Surinam true redtail Boa, Lesser Platinum Ball Python and Pastel Ball Python. I have another 75 or so that did not get to participate.

I had a hairless rat years ago that we named Rogaine, he was a great pet and the only rat I have ever had that lasted more than a day in my home.
Yeah, most of them get "fed" around here too, but Daisy (the one with hair) got lucky. She was gonna be fed, but the python wasn't hungry - so we waited a couple more days and put her back in again - this time the snake was hungry, but Daisy wasn't having any of it - she picked up a snake poo and tossed it at the snake, and then when the snake started toward her again, she started pushing bedding toward him, making a "wall" between the snake and her ! So, we figured we better "rescue" her and give the snake a different rat.
"Lulu" the hairless rat - well I was on tour all of September, and when I got home, my girlfriend informed me that Daisy was lonely and she had brought home a "rat friend". Well, I know better than to argue with my girlfriend.....
So, that's how we came to having two rats living here that "don't" get fed to the snakes !
I really do like rats - GREAT pets. Honestly, if they didn't have the tail (or if the tail had fur on it), they'd be the most popular small animal "by far". They're smart, friendly, can learn tricks, clean (for the most part), and just generally great pets... as opposed to hamsters, gerbils, and other little biting b*stard critters !
PS - some nice looking boids (and pythons) you have there. I've been meaning to add some mojaves, pastel jungles, and maybe some Dumerils Boas to my small collection soon.

Beautiful snakes and all, but those pics still give me the creeps... *shudders*
