Hey how are you finding the ableton push? ive never used one but was told by someone they are mind blowing.... Ive got a APC40, MPD24, BCR2000 i wanted the rotaries instead....

It's pretty sweet, my favorite part about it is playing the pads in chromatic mode. Here's a quick vid I made of that in action
Also, the drum pads/sequencer is good for work flow, but probably for the same reasons the MPD is.
Seems like you have a pretty comprehensive setup with the APC, MPD, and BCR... but yeah, the push is fun and portable!

This is my temporary pop-up studio, set up for remixing purposes:

The speakers are only used used during initial programming and arranging - Mix down will be on bigger studio monitors.

It's called the GuitarWing... it's a midi controller that clamps on your bass or guitar, and works via bluetooth.

that's an Aphex 107 2 channel tube preamp => Aphex 109 4-band tube parametric EQ => ART VLA Pro II tube compressor

Looks like this thread has been dead for a while...I'll post an update anyway!

I've recently started rebuilding my home studio. I'm yet to record anything but i'll be using this space mainly for tracking bass for my bands next EP and laying down new ideas for songs etc.

Computer: 2014 Macbook Pro (2.7ghz, 16gbRam)
DAWs: Logic Pro 10.1, Ableton Live 9, GarageBand
Interface: Motu 828x Thunderbolt Interface
Controllers: PreSonus Faderport, Alesis V25 Midi Keyboard
Monitors: KRK Rokit 6's, Roland (Cakewalk) MA-7A's, Audio Technica ATH-M50 Headphones, Iphone Earbuds (for reference )
Mixer: Mackie 402-VLZ3 (For my computers audio only)
Mics: Rode NT1-A, Shure SM58

There are a few other things i want to add to speed up workflow and help with the acoustics of the room (no treatment at all so far) but i'm happy with the results i've been getting so far

If I am seeing that right, there is peg board on the other side of those studs. Are you cutting space out of a workshop to build a studio? If so, how are you going to keep workshop dust from infiltrating your studio?

I actually just posted my own thread with a bunch of pictures. The peg board area is a storage closet behind the studio, the interior walls of the studio will be 2 layers of drywall. Next to it is not so much a work shop but a place I store all my tools, no cutting or wood work down there. I put pegboard in those areas basically to keep the insulation from moving, most of my music equipment that will be in the room is stacked behind that wall temporarily.

This is one half of the room we are using as a studio at my friends house. Other half has a drum kit and keyboard/recording station. I have the same setup at my house as well. I'm a builder by trade, so when I sell my house, I'm building a sweet professional studio. I already have all the equipment nessesary.
