Post your unique pedal combo sounds

Over the years, I've come to build pedalboards so that the pedals would work well together if I ever wanted to get really creative with my sound.

I'm sure some of us even found out interesting sounds on accident!

If you've found some neat pedal combinations, post them here. And you know the ol' motto around here....

SOUNDCLIPS!!!1@!

1. Prometheus/Eventide PF-Quadavox(12th,octave,unison)/Echobox

2. Prometheus/Eventide PF-Quadavox(3rd,5th,oct)/Lil Jovi(to push Prometheus)/Catalinbread Semaphore

Personal Favorite:
Devi Ever Bit Fuzz -> Micro POG -> Micro Q-Tron -> Boss CE-5 Chorus

#2
Subdecay Flying Tomato -> Micro Q-Tron -> Nano Small Stone or Boss PH-3 (step mode/tap tempo)

Not unique by any means, but I still dig octave/fuzz/filter.

Here's a clip I made as a test to see which octaver I liked better for synth sounds. First is OC-2-->Brown Dog-->00Funk, then BOD-->Brown Dog-->00Funk.

From the "guess my effects combo thread", this is Octavius Squeezer-->Danelectro Cool Cat-->Empress Superdelay.

Some old clips. My buddy (and college band guitarist) and I trade snippets of stuff a few times a week and the other one writes to the ones we dig. Whenever I get down to Hollywood we flesh some stuff out. Most of my clips are clean bass, but here's a couple with effects:

Thanks, I'm always glad to help :)

The empress tremolo sounds amazing.

It is.

I found one more simple combo using it. This one is just George Dennis Chorus Flanger into the Empress Trem on one of the rhythm settings for a subtle complimentary effect on this intro. As a bonus you get to hear me play terrible guitar too. ;)

Side note, the Empress is really whisper quiet. What I didn't realize until after I recorded the clip was that the gain knob was up way above unity which is why you are hearing the added noise. And of course the compressor just enhanced it.

One more attempt before I let this thread die.

The first two thirds is me playing the same little riff (with varying degrees of success) through a DOD FX25. But the last third (an idea for a break) is the Robotalk (in S&H mode) in the loop of a Barge blender into a Boss PS-3 set (I believe) to a fifth up harmony.

We've got a whole forum of effects nerds, someone has to have some clips to share (or new found motivation to make some) right?

Man I'm so on the fence about the BOD. I want to add an analog octaver micro POG set up but I really can't make up my mind on the MXR or the OC-2.

Another good synth tone with the POG:
Micro POG -> Gemini Drive @ 50/50 blend -> BF-2 with depth @ 3:00 and everything else at 12:00.

Sorry no clips because my rig is on the other side of the world, but I came up with a cool synth bass sound:
Lots of people don't particularly like the synth sounds on the Digitech BSW, but I had to cover a dance track with a synth bass which had quite a pulsing quality to the synth sound. What I did was to run my 12 string bass (a micro-pog in front of the chain would also work) into the BSW on one of the synth settings (I can't remember which one), then to my Peavey BAC-2 biamp chorus. From the high frequency output I ran to a Dano tuna melt tremolo, then to a minimixer, and the lows went straight to the minimixer. The trem added a great pulsing feeling to the high frequencies whilst the low frequencies stayed fat and intact. It added a great feeling of motion to the BSW's synth sound.

My current favorite combo is the OC2-->Bassballs-->Small Stone Phaser.

Gives a cool synth sound. Wish I had a clip of it. Here's the settings if anyone's interested.

OC2 = Oct2 at 9:00, Oct1 at Full & Direct Lvl at 12:00
Bassballs = Dist switch on (down) and response at about 9:00
Small Stone = Colour on (switch up) and Rate at about 11-12:00.

If I get a chance I'll try and get a clip recorded and up somewhere.

One of my favourite sounds is still BMS > Bassballs.

If I had my Squeezer here (still shipping back from Oz) I'd record one of my favourite patches - I set up a 5th up harmony on the osc, stepping the filter with the rhythm machine and also varying the filter range with the LFO over a couple of bars, came up with a tune with my fretless that would put babies to sleep.

Not the sort of thing you'd expect from an Octavius Squeezer. Brilliant pedal.

Anyone have any more clips of the MXR BOD playing a synth role with a filter and/or fuzz?

I'm assuming you already heard my clip from the first post in this thread, right?

I'd like to hear clips of all of those, especially the Squeezer patch - unlike the others I can't even really imagine what it sounds like.
