Post your unique pedal combo sounds

FTP's insertion compelled me to share my inferior HOG clip. This is the first time that I tried to make the noise the music rather than make the noise fit the music. I had no end game. You can hear the good in there though.

Loop 1 HOG -> Holy Stain (set to pitch shift)
Loop 2 Digitech BSW
Blended signal--> Nano Small Stone

Edit::: This thread has caused more GAS than I have experienced in some while. I now need some kind of step filter and apparently a VF-1. :bawl:

very nice,... I love the ascending and descending parts,... sounds like a ufo taking off and landing!

hi there,

i dont have clips or specific ideas but just some input if you like:
i didnt read all here so maybe its allready mentioned, sorry if so. (i sure heard very neat sounds altho, hang your synth/keyb player, we dont need you anymore!:hiding: )

anyway my input: for some who dont cant spend lots of money on 20 or 30 pedals but want to experiment extensively with these tools there is also an alternative:
native instruments guitar rig. for those who dont heard of it. its and amp/effect simulation program with lots of options of guitar amps, phasers, reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, loop station, wahs, synths etc etc..
i think its selling from 350$ or so, dont know if there is a free demo.. very easy to work with and really thousands of options. you can fully make your signal chain with splitters and everything or a dozen of different cabs chained up. you get my point..

i used to experiment some with it 6months ago or so. i was impressed by it (sure that was clear by now).

also usefull for live work: latency is very workable and you can engage it with a midi footpedal like behringers fcb1010 (or so..) or even the midi footcontroller from native instruments itself (easiest option, you program it in no time). altho i never tested it on a live gig i heard some people doing it and were very pleased by it.

sorry for the long read, i always fail at giving limited info in short replies :help:

i'd sure like to hear if others had any (good/bad) experience with it, or what they think about the software package..

and a link for those who like: http://www.nativeinstruments.com

and maybe another question: anybody tried to put a synth/keyb in their signal chain and process your sound with the synth module of it? (for example the roland sh201 or similars). i wonder if it works at all and if so, does any good come out of this?

Ace.

Wow.

Sounds pretty crunchy doesn't it? Beats the hell out of the sawtooth from G5! The subpar tracking in the lower frequencies had put me off to the freqbox for bass guitar and I had been thinking about taking it off my board for a while, though I was still using it for other things. To get it to track well I had to keep the 'freq' knob higher, resulting in more oscillator noise than I would like- but I figured out the BMS trick with the Devi Bass Fuzz and tried it out with the Freqbox and sure enough- it made it track well into subsonic territory. It has a completely different feel than any gated fuzz(though the brown dog sounds very similar to the squarewave I must say) when playing with filters, and you can really feel each dip in the waveform, Im having a lot of fun with it now.

I know mine sucks compared to the other ones here, recording- playing- and effects-wise, but, here it goes (I posted the same one in the delay thread):

The main combination here is SYB-5 and BBM+VTB (starting 1:07). Makes the thin-ish tone of the SYB-5 sound really huge.

This might not be unique, but it's a cool sound I utilize quite a bit, combining Link Removed.

Very nice nad. I love that same combo, though mine usually is rougher around the edges where yours sounds super synthy. Is that the B:Assmaster in that clip?

That's pretty much my favorite use of tremolo. To set the rate and then play slightly ahead of the beat so the initial attack is lost. Great sound.

Cheers and aye, tis the B:Assmaster. That was take 4 by the way, the first 3 involved some bad muting and the inherent GRONK type sounds when I'd miss the tempo. :D Tremolo is yet another effect that actually improves my chops instead of "covering up lack of technique" or however that common misconception goes.

I'm going through this thread and listening away, some very nice stuff here.

I don't think this counts but this is what happens when a Link Removed vomit into 4 bass tracks.

This isn't very unique but is definitely more usable in band situations I suppose, featuring my current favourite combination of Link Removed. Who needs a guitarist?

I've heard people say it so many times, but first time I've heard it and the b:assmaster really does sound great in a filter's loop.
It really does. And switching around the ass and harm switch on it really change the character of it. I really want to get a analog octave down (the uPOG was to clean) to really fatten it up, especially on single sustained notes. I also want to get a b:assmaster with an expression jack to that I can blend the fuzz in and out of the filter sound.
Sweet theremin :D
Steel guitar slide between two pickups. :D
