I have used a couple of those amps to drive a fair sized JBL vertec line array.

Stupidly light. Stupidly light. (that needs repeating) Sound great, and didn't brown out even with some questionable power sources.

CLAIRSHOWCO is using some of these for house amps on the current Police Tour. I'm not sure which speakers they're using them on,but they wouldn't be out there if they weren't good amps.

That LD-2004 1200 watts Bridged into 4 ohms was priced at $1735.75

My Current Bass Power Amp is 26 Pounds 2RU puts out 2600 watts Bridged at 4 ohms and is $599.00


Big difference in money just for benifit of 1 less rack size. Seems to me.

Not trying to argue though.

If you're touring with a big PA (which is the main market for these) halfing the number of racks you need to haul could probably justify that. For most bass rigs it's clearly overkill.

Although I would buy one if I could afford it.

That's 18000W in bridged mode at 4 ohm in a 1 rack space form factor for the Digam K20.

It's still equals roughly 300 TUBE watts.

I certainly don't have the money to spend but could you imagine something like one of those K4 Amps with the Mike Pope Preamp and a couple of Bergantino AE4X10 Cabs?

Talk about small, leightweight, powerful and easy to move.

OMG that would be a rig and a half.

For now I'll just have to settle for my little SWR M2 into the Yamaha P5000S into my GIV.
