Sorry to hear you're so close! I'd say screw it and have him ship "as-is", if assembly is all that is needed there are dozens of luthiers in the states that could help.

Sorry to hear everyone is still waiting on theirs. I got mine in May and I'm mostly happy with it (growing on me the more I play it).
Yes, he's in Spain now, but afaik all the basses are here in the states at a couple shops (finishing shop in TN, assembly/setup in OH).
Mine wasn't perfect, and there was some stuff that was forgotten. However, he did his best to try to rectify the issues. It looks like the finish shop got sloppy without him there to supervise/do the work himself.
I've also been talking with some other customers that are still waiting...sad this is happening to everyone.
