I put it up for sale on eBay but, from the questions I received, most of those potential buyers are looking for pre-CBS basses in the $2000-3000 range.

After posting my ad I sold a "real" road worn, natural finish 1966 P bass (May, 1966 neck) on Craigslist. This bass had some 1965 transition parts and non-original pickup and pots. It was also an Indian Rosewood neck instead of the Brazilian Rosewood of the 1963. After the 1966 went out the door I decided to keep the 1963.

It may have a poly finish since it is so white after nearly 13 years. I agree that to develop the natural patina it needs to be played and enjoyed but if it is poly it will always be just a little off. I'm just not a big fan of the Olympic White - especially if I can figure out the original finish.

Don't be shy show em, that's the point of the thread, show off whatcha got.

I'd be happy If each person posted 75 of each bass in the thread, after a while it's a great resource for new buyers and people on the hunt.

Unfortunately I was -23 when this bass came out, BUT.. I still got my hands on her. As if she had been waiting for me.. :D

I was still Pre-puberty baby gravy in my fathers ahem uhhhhhhhhhh well let's just say mine is a 62 and I was born 17 years later...
I still feel like we were meant to be together though.
