Pre Gig embarrassment!

I played with my hard rock band a couple of weeks back. Im using one of the other bands Bass combo, so i chat to the bass player of that band and he shows me the gear, a Hartke Kickback combo, pretty decent. So we make general small talk, and then i say ill watch your band play. (we were headlining)

So roll forward an hour or so, (after a few pints as well) im outside smoking and drinking (love it) and the dude from the other band comes outside. so i ask again when hes on, "we just played, we played to 3 people." I appologise, and say, "so its still alright to use your stuff!" . Not hillarious i know but twas funny at the time, and embarrassing!

oh and we played to a pretty full house!

So you told him you'd listen to his band and didn't.
You rubbed it in and laughed it up that they only had 3 people in the crowd.
Then you used his gear.

Nice. If I had been the other bassist I'd have taken my amp and gone home and laughed at you wondering what you were going to plug your bass into. That would have been funny then and now.
