An all time favorite of mine remembers another favorite of mine. I must say, I'm a bit (only a bit) surprised by how highly Paul regarded him. Interesting.

From what I've read, the posts in this thread and the other Prince threads in the "Bassists" forum have been respectful and hater-free, including the disagreements.

It shows that you can actually have a civil discussion about Prince without any cheap-shot bashing. This is very refreshing; thanks everyone!

just ran across this video of Prince playing bass, pretty funky.

He's jamming some Sly starting around 2:50.

I was checking out his first album and discovered this tune. If Prince played all the instruments on it, then he had fretless skills too!
