I was disappointed with the PS3 before it came out. Yes, I've seen the games. Hence my disappointment. I've seen the prices too. Just because I can afford it doesn't mean I'm enough of a mug to pay.

I was disappointed with the PS3 before it came out. Yes, I've seen the games. Hence my disappointment. I've seen the prices too. Just because I can afford it doesn't mean I'm enough of a mug to pay.
They did nothing.
They don't even have online feature. The Wii has that. Lawl.
Theres no real incentive to dish out the large amount of money for an overpriced system with no real games.
Sony elitism makes me laugh.
No online features?
I've played 40 person deathmatches in Resistence: Fall of Man, I've raced 16 person big rig races in Motorstorm, I've played 4 person games of Calling All Cars, and I'm currently testing the Warhawk online game. I've downloaded demos, full games for both PS3 and PSP and HD trailers from the Playstation store. TV shows and movies are on the way (XBox Live just recently got them after how many years?), too.And, it was all free. No $50 for a year to play games online.
And, no games? I've had my PS3 since January, and have no problem finding something to play. Sorry you can't find anything. I'm having a hard time completing the ones I'm playing since I have about 5 different ones going right now. It doesn't hurt that the PS3 now upscales PS2 game, either. I've been playing God of War 2--it looks great upscaled and aliased.
As for the laughing at Elitism. Um...okay? Any kind of fanboyism is a bit sad be it video games, or basses. Of course, I also think using phrases like "Sony elitism" makes someone look like they take themselves waaaay too seriously regarding video games.
I was a huge sony fan but the PS3 was a flop. Its about the gameplay not about how powerful your system is. Thats why the PS2 did so well against the first xbox. The price tag just isnt worth it...yet?(maybe)
And what does not being able to legally buy alcohol have to do with a video game system. I have more than enough money saved to buy a PS3, guess id rather use my money on something useful like a better rig for my bass.
I dont have any of the new consoles mainly cause I grew out of playing video games and since the cost is so high for the new ones, it make the transition much easier. Though it is funny that people are still trying to defend a system not worth the money.

I own the PS3 and I'm perfectly happy with it!
I just happen to like the Playstation series, I really don't care about if console x beats out console y in this or that benchmark test.
Right now I'm anxiously awaiting Fifa 08 which will come out this fall.
(Gotta get me one of those fancy HD LCD TV's......so expensive!

Um...Yes, it is. I'm outputting full 1920x1080@60Hz via HDMI. I'm not sure where you are getting your information from. And, as of the most recent firmware update, the PS3 is capable of 1080p24hz output, BTB, and WTW, too. Not to mention that apart from 6 channel audio output, the PS3 is one of the most full featured BluRay players and one of the fastest loading HD format players on the market.
As for defending the console, I couldn't really care less what someone else thinks of it. I bought it, and I'm happy with my purchase. That's good enough for me. But, when someone says that it has worse online than the Wii, I certainly question the validity of the statement. If anyone cares to tell me how the Wii online experience is better than Sony, I'm all ears. Hell, I'll even forward the info to Sony via the Sony Home Beta that I'm taking part in as something to consider. I don't see how correcting misinformation is defending something to an extreme.
Oh, and the alcohol comment was a joke. Sheesh...

If ps3 was cheaper-i'd be more interested. I'll buy an Xbox 360 when my current Xbox dies.
My biggest gripe about consoles in general is the cost. Since i'm not a hardcore gamer-i wait until they drop in price considerably-i bought my Xbox when they were $200 new.....i bought mine used off of a guy w/several games for $150.
PS3 seems like a hell of a unit-more power and capabilities than i'd ever use. The idea of a BluRay player is neat.
However-i've crossed sides to Xbox a while back-Halo 2 & GTA San Andreas got me hooked. Having Guitar Hero 2 come out for 360 confirmed that much more for me that 360 is the way for me to go.

PS3 officially sunk below the Sega CD. Why? People outside the U.S. actually liked it.
Hey, Sega CD has a few of the best role playing games of all time. I'll never get rid of my SegaCD!!!!

I've got a PS3 and I think it's great. No problem finding games and Blu Ray movies look amazing.
You people don't know what the hell you're talking about. I don't suppose any of you geniuses actually checked the links in that article. I saw two links to articles saying that it WAS a PS3 exclusive, and two links that go the PS3 grill.
So, where is the confirmation? Can anyone show me a reputable site that shows it is coming to the XBox360?
Although, to be honest, I wouldn't really care if it WAS released on the 360.

Well, that might be a plan! It'll probably be like the Gamecube...one or two decent games will come out that will make me want to buy it, but apart from that, it'll just be a room decoration.
I don't play console games that much - but I like a good RPG as well as Snooker and Golf games - it'll probably be one of these that gets me to buy a PS3 - but not for a while yet!
I have really enjoyed FF12 on PS2 - if the next one is as good and only on PS3 - that might do it...

RPG's are immense. One thing that every console could do with more of, imo!
I still think back to the days of FFVII and VIII. And Star Ocean: Til the end of time on PS2. Amazing games.
And FPS RPG's too, like Arx Fatalis on the xbox. I thank the lord that I as able to play Arx Fatalis, without a doubt one of the best games I've ever played.

I've seen articles and news about it in the Official 360 magazine, so I think someone is pulling your chain there...
