Don't get me started. Someone at my new job wrote that a client "is being winged off his medication."

That's... not ... even close.
That hurt mah brane. Like a bird's wing? Or a combination of wing and wine?

Edit: It hurt my brain so hard that it took almost a half hour for me to remember the sound of a word that I just used a couple of months ago that I think they were going for but missed- "wean"

It's sort of close if they've heard enough of either hillbillies or latinos pronouncing "wing" a little weengy and then thinking that "wing off" was a colloquialism whose backstory was not worth investigating prior to using?
