Though i LIVE in Frederick, i play music almost always with people in Baltimore. Frederick doesn't have much of a scene that i'm into :/

But, i totally know Ol Scratch and Admiral Browning!!... Chris is a rad dude! Haha, in my mind, all of those bands fall under the 'Krugs Place' file!! Along with bands like; Nagato(bassist is a really good dude, and TB member), Akaris, Lord, Earthride... etc etc etc...

Dude, The Patriot basses are awesome!!! They had one at Atomic Music, in college park, for, $120!! One with a nice new coat of paint will serve you well!! :bassist:

[Ahem!] A good many of these basses totally lack punkitude.

I'm sorry, but it had to be said.

A punk bass doesn't necessarily have to be covered with dirty, torn and illegible stickers, but it does have to have at least 16" of grotty duct tape somewhere and a visible accumulation of unhealthy foreign matter.

Get with the program, people! :D

my first bass, used in a hardcore punk band late 80's-early 90's. As a 20+ year punk, every bass I've owned has been used to play punk.

Well, when you're broke as hell and you're using a borrowed POS Peavey and you have to compete with your guitarist's gigantic vintage Sunn tube amp, you gotta try all the tricks to keep up sonically, including flipping the logo.

My P-bass would've counted if I had some duct tape.

There is plenty of crud on it though.

You know, I'm no Green Day fan (not a hater, just not really into them) and I know it's easy to bag on the Mike Dirnt model bass, but I was just sitting here thinking that it has a lot of features I'd like to see on a bass. I haven't played one, but I'm thinking the vintage white one is pretty hot.

These were my original sentiments, exactly, when I first heard about them, but when I feverishly inspected a shipment of five brand new ones, I was pretty appalled by the crappy build. Only one was fit to play. They were also bloody heavy.

Killed the whole dream for me. :(

QC may have tightened up since, I dunno. Never been a fan of MIMs. Too iffy.
