My favorite kind of punk is this type of tuneless, repetitive riffing that is more like being caught in a pulverizing machine than listening to “music.” It only takes 30 seconds before the vocals kick in and most people will be hitting eject even before that.

I lost track of how many times I saw Naked Raygun at the Metro in Chicago in the '80s. Free $h!t! Free $h!t!! Free $h!t!!!

By the '90s John Haggerty was a regular bartender the Rainbo Club, my local bar.

I even played with Peg Boy once in John's rehearsal space once when they were looking for another bass player. If I'm not mistaken, Pierre Kedzy ended up signing on with them shortly after that. RIP Pierre.
