Putting Together a Small pedal Board

Hello, I have been playing bass for a while, and have just started really thinking about pedals. I don't want to do anything crazy, just stuff that can help me change things up. I have a boss oc2 that i use for it's drivey sound. I would like a more pure drive, maybe a full tone bass, then maybe like a fuzz, but really im not sure. I am just hoping to get some ideas for "must haves" in a bass pedal board. Thanks.

An OC-2 is an octave pedal, not an overdrive. Are you sure you have the # right?
Like many just getting into pedals, a lot of us recommend a used multi-effect so you can start to explore effects and decide on what you like before you invest in single pedals.
Look at Boss, Zoom or Digitech for a multi.
Good luck.
