PYFPB 1: Post Your First Pedalboard

I just did the PYPB post but it got pushed aside by more experienced people talking about their own huge boards. So I'm going to start a thread that is meant only for people's first pedalboard. The first pedalboard you put together... I.e., When I make changes to my board shown in this post, I will not post in this thread.

Here is mine. Let me know what you think!

It was a long time when I put together my 1st pedalboard that it even wasn't a pedalboard, just a few pedals hooked up together...

If I had a picture of it I'd certainly post it here, but all I remember is that I had a couple of Yamahas (NE-1 Nathan East para-EQ and FL-100 Flanger) and a TS7 Tubescreamer.

There is a thread like this (more of an evolution thread where people documented le changes on their boards). For the life of me I can't remember what it's called,...tried searching for it but with no luck.

Anyway,....since I can't find that,...let's see if I can get it done here.

1st incarnation was about 4 years ago when I first started to dabble in these things and had no idea what I was doing. My main source was Craigslist.

Well that was a lovely little trip down memory lane across 24 pages of two photobucket accounts and a nice waste of TB bandwidth. You can tell that I've moved a few times (from nasty green old carpet to crappy new cheap carpet to a house with a shop in the basement),...and the kitten is all growed up.

:D

Your photo spread would make for an excellent addition to that thread

kokoshmusun your board is pretty nice. Off to a good start :) of an ongoing pedal addiction :smug:. Comes down to taste, style, what fits with your band (and your wallet) for where you go from there.

Here was my first board:

The H20 echo channel would experience overload clipping, although the chorus tone was amazing. The Jack&Die sucked badly, it had to be replaced. Bootsy wah was an experiment to determine I like auto wah's/envelope filters more. And the MXR graphic EQ wasn't really what I needed. All leasons learned the hard (costly) way and my primary reason for joining TB for pedal advice.

TAKE THAT TB BANDWIDTH
just another good reason to post pedal pics :p

Thanks guys! The evolution is so amazing to see. Post away. Though let me say that I mainly meant to give people who are currently coming up with their first pedalboard a thread. Like me... My board has not evolved at all yet, just version 1. cheers!

I checked out the link in your post... the pedalboard itself looks pretty interesting. Is it made of clear acrylic?

I don't have photos, but my first board was:

MXR M108 10-band EQ -> Dunlop 105-Q bass wah -> Frantone Lo-Tone Fuzz -> Boss CEB-3.

Then it went up in flames when my storage unit caught fire in summer 2008. Freaking meth heads... :scowl:

It was prior to this that I had my largest board: Planet Waves Chromatic Tuner -> 3 Leaf Audio Groove Regulator -> MXR Bass Octave Deluxe -> EHX POG2 -> Fuzzrocious Munch the Muff'n -> Subdecay Echobox -> DOD FX-72 -> Tech21 SansAmp BDDI

Anyway, here's the oldest board I have a photo of:
pedalboard.png

Planet Waves tuner -> 3 Leaf Audio Groove Regulator -> MXR BOD -> Fulltone Bass Drive MOSFET -> Fuzzrocious Munch the Muff'n -> Subdecay Echobox

And my current board:
2011-09-29%252014.29.26.jpg

Fuel Tank Jr, Planet Waves tuner -> 3 Leaf Audio Groove Regulator -> MXR Bass Compressor -> MXR BOD -> Way Huge Pork Loin

Right now I'm GASing for an analog delay without modulation (mainly looking at a [del]Way Huge Aqua Puss or MXR Carbon Copy but might change my tune if something better comes along[/del] Mojo Hand Recoil) and a Moog MF-103 phaser.
