PYPB 38: When 'a few' just isn't enough...

My minimalist mood had brought me to this:
SimpleBoard.jpg

[sfx] Micro Screaminator <- Cave G4 <- Fdeck HPF-Pre

It's been a little while since I posted in this thread! Gotta thank my lovely girlfriend for these wonderful shots! :)

I've added a few bits and pieces here and there and completely rearranged the order of my pedals. Probably going to pick up a Source Audio Dual Expression Pedal one of these days. The chain now goes:

Musicman Sterling SB14
>>>
Pedals+Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+:
[sfx] Micro-Thumpinator
Korg Pitchblack Tuner
Diamond BCP-1 Compressor
MXR M288 Bass Octave Deluxe
Iron Ether Oxide Morphing Gated Fuzz
Wren and Cuff Pickle Pie B
Wren and Cuff Phat Phuk B
Darkglass B3K Bass Distortion
Source Audio Bass Envelope Filter Pro
Source Audio Dimension Reverb
>>>
Gallien-Krueger 700RB-II and Gallien-Krueger Neo410

I've included a shot of the whole family just for shiggles. :p

Nice family pic

:)

Finally got a chance to check out the Tall Font Russian today through my rig, and damn, this really does sound amazing. Exactly the sound I was wanting to get, and it only took a few minutes to dial it in.

My chain goes Pitchblack->Kowloon Walled Bunny (modden Distortion+ circuit)->Ratmussen (custom Rat circuit for bass)->Tall Font Russian->Micro Amp->Thermionic Effects TE-01 (high voltage tube distortions)->V4-B->two TL606 1x15s.

Is that Cave G4 not passive?

It is passive, yes. The Fdeck has a 9v battery. The G4 is passive. The MicroScream can only be plugged in. I think I need to find one of those rechargeable battery things with a 9v Boss-style connector from it. And of note, this setup worked very well to make the Fender Bassman 60 at the church work better for me than it has in months. The distorted rumble was gone. And with the highs gone, I didn't have to suffer the tweeter that thing has -- that I haven't figured out how to turn off. I use the G4 more as a multi-tone. I don't turn up the drive knob very high, as I don't want all-out distortion.

I have become a believer in low and high pass filters as a way of improving bass tone.

nice boards allover!

I'm not here very often but when I go through these PYPB threads it's giving me gas every time..and kinda makes me think.. wow everything's so clean and tasty!
Here is mine, upgraded with Rang3 :). A few istn't enough!
..Next will be a Pedaltrain Pro and some quality cables... :ninja:
