Signal chain:

Boss TU-2 - Marshall JH-1 Jackhammer - Behringer BDI-21 - Joyo JF-12 Ultimate/Voodoo Octave Fuzz w/Octave Up.

The Line 6 FBV was being used to control a Line 6 Lowdown LD150. Clean, Clean w/Envelope, Clean w/Chorus, and Clean w/Octave channels. I used the expression pedal as a wah for a dubstep section we do, along with the envelope and fuzz.

How do you like the TC Flashback on bass? Does the "strum tempo" track pretty well? It was going to get one for my guitar work but never got around to it. I have a DeltaLab Digital Delay on my bass board now but want to upgrade to some thing that i can control the tempo with.

BYOC Mutron? Man that's TALL. How is it? I wanna build one for myself.

Yeah,...all that stuff is a little tacked on for me. I can get an open box brand new one for under $300,....just looking for opinions if I should settle or get a Boomerang III.

BOOMERANGS RULE.
I want a III badly. I use my Plus more than regularly. I'm just irritated about the "Bonus" section on the III. Having to pick only 4 between:

Stacking (essential)
Undo/Redo
Erase (essential, unless you turn all your decay times down...)
Copy
Octave
Reverse
Once
Stutter
Fade (for me, almost essential. I make lots of use of the foot roller on my Plus)
Reverse Solo (takes up two Bonus function slots)
Loop 4


..Basically, I don't want to have to choose between Copy and Undo/Redo (or anything else), and that giant external controller they offer is just silly. Stacking and Erase just shouldn't be considered "Bonus" but what do I know.

Probably just going to get a Jamman Stereo to use in conjunction with my Plus. But the III is just so darn HNNGGG.

I love Rancid. Matt Freeman is a huge influence on my playing style.

Just got the Empress and I really like it so far! The dirt can really go from extremely subtle warmth to crushing lead-style metal tones, to straight up muff fuzz. It reacts really well to your playing dynamics and cleans up really well with your volume knob.

Probably the best "multi" effect I've tried, in the sense that even though there are two presets, they really interact with each other nicely.

I really want to run it at 18v to hear how this effects the headroom, but that isn't really an option right now.

Nice, I love Freeman myself. Thanks for the quick review, I've got an Empress tremolo myself and I have to say the build quality and tone are top-notch. Might have to try the Multidrive if I get a chance.

I love those fretless antigua p-basses. everytime I notice yours in a picture on the pedalboard threads I end up hovering over buy it now on anything similar on ebay.

BYOC Mutron? Man that's TALL. How is it? I wanna build one for myself.

It is tall. I was thinking of painting an aquarium on it, or maybe a space scene... so huge.

I like it a lot, but am going to modify it to increase the octave volume. It's currently too subtle for my taste. Parallel blending is tricky too, as it is a bit out of phase, so I have to flip the phase switch on the Schism. But, if I'm using the Proton too, then all is good since that pedal is out of phase with the others as well.

I am totally enjoying my Mutron clone section though. Phaser, filter and octave. So cool, and surprisingly very METAL!

Ok, I just can't wait... Though I'm getting an expression pedal in a few days, nothing on my board will change for a while. I'm loving the extra foot-room.

My bass-exclusive board is going to have the Sovtek, ClusterFlux, Morley PWB, and the Formula No. 5. In that order. I will, obviously, need a power supply (Voodoo Lab ISO 5 should do the trick), and a board. I would ask my welder cousin to whip me up an aluminum beast, but he probably has Ebola. That, and his local would shoot him.

I've decided to put it to you, gentlemen (I will repeatedly declare that I refuse to accept the possibility that effects pedals are of any interest to any woman on the planet; if you ARE a woman, love effects pedals, and are actually reading this, then I'd like to meet you). Here is the proposal: using the list of pedals I currently have, build my second board. I'm not bespoke to a certain genre of music, and I'm not looking for a specific sound, so that may make your lives a little easier. I'd suggest avoiding using my current board, but the tuner has to be in every chain. It's a tuner; you can't do without one.
