PYPB 38: When 'a few' just isn't enough...

IMG_2868.png

recently I've used just this one pedal. My apologies, will post some pictures when I reorganise my boards...

Vlad and Tigerbass are rocking some sick boards! I love the relay box under Vlad's board!

Here's my latest setup, finally got the Elements! Crappy picture follows:

I've pretty much taken care of my dirt/od/fuzz needs for a while unless something cool comes out (darkglass fuzz, 3leaf od..), thought I wanna try a Dark Driving at some point. Also I might try new filters, definitely the updated 3leaf groove regulator when it comes out and possibly a Xero Dlx.

Gotta build a board fast, before I decide to expand..

Thanks buddy! With the wicked set up you have, the Xero Deluxe is an absolute must! You'll thank me later!

Thanks man!

And yeah, I'd say you've got your dirt section dialed in pretty well.

Seriously though, I think were related or something, because I own, or have owned 7 of those pedals, and I'm still (and forever for all of me) shaking apart buildings with the Mesa M9 (though I'm using a Mesa PH210 cab). I was using the Monarch before The Elements too... filthy, filthy fun.

Nice setup, very nice. :D

Oh, footnote... If you haven't tried the Monarch on 18v, you should treat yourself to it. It's some dirty, angry, fun. The Elements does 18v too, but I didn't hear as much difference in tone as I did with the Monarch on 18... Its kinda sick, especially at full gain (at least with my gear :) ).

After some shuffling I'm in drool mode:

The DT is pretty much the only sound I used from the Timeline and about a third the size while the Bass Bloom is the perfect fuzz tone for what I need. Not muddy, very articulate and musical, and it plays very well with all my other pedals :bassist:

And speaking of "all my other pedals..."

I'm very happy with this board.

Thanks dude! I did notice similarities too. What can I say, we got good taste :D.

With your Warwick, your setup into that rig must growl like beast!

I did try the Monarch at 18v, it did roar a lotta hotness but I can't spare the 18v outlet in the long run (DC Brick has a dead 18v outlet so only the GR2 and Comp get 18v..). The Elements showed up today so I only started tinkering with it and haven't tried 18v yet, but so far it's a whole lotta fun. So many possibilities! Its early but it might bump the Monarch off the board..

Here are mine. They aren't hooked up right now because I had to use my power brick on the go one night. Normal set up is bass> chromatic tuner> ODB-1> SuperSynth> Crybaby bass wah> Chorus/Flanger> Loop station. I literally just sold my AW-3 to make room for my new SA BEF coming in soon.
