Current setup, just need to finish making a few more cables and wire it up

Signal change goes:
Bass into Flip pedal which allows me to switch the order of channels A and B:
Channel A: Wolly Mammoth/SFT double pedal>Bypass Looper: 1:OC2>GEB-7 2:Infanem Second Voice with Expression Mod 3: Active friendly Wolly Mammoth>SA MWBD 2>Bugcrusher clone 4:Custom Xerograph with footswitch enabled envelope (Controlled by custom Broadcast, that when bypassed allows normal expression control) 5: WMD Superfat man
Channel B: M9> out of flip to
>mxr comp>submarine>amp

Two of the EBVP are expression pedals for the M9, the other goes into the broadcast and then the xerograph (the VP is modded to get a better sweep with the xero)

Have to add that I'm currently using a Philosopher King and a Boss PS-6 Harmonist at the beginning of the chain and occasionally I throw an Aguilar Tone Hammer at the end.

CHAIN

PS-6 > Philosopher King > OC-2 > Wolf Computer > Micro Octave > Orbit > TAFM > Geiger Counter > Super Fatman > Xerograph > Iron Lung > GK3 > Moog LPF > Flashback > Frantabit > Tone Hammer

My favorite pedal is the GK3. It's LFO is feeding the Moog at all times. That's really all I use it for. I just wish it was smaller.

I gotta also give props to the Guyatone micro-octave. It has a really synthy sound that pairs amazingly with the Xerograph...

I'm gassing hard for a Hall of Fame Reverb and some modulation effects like the Polytope and the Subdecay Quantum Starlight. I really think that would take my board over the top but there's no money at the moment.

Also, I'm a big octave fan. How's the Second Voice used as an octave generator? I see a lot of people use it but I'm not sure if they use it as fuzz or octave.

I'm looking for something that's highly playable and can track like a champ. Dynamics are always a plus.

BTW... have to explain why I use the Philosopher King... it's basically squeezing the beejeeezus out of my signal and sustaining it endlessly for a couple of synth long notes that I like to do. It's noisy and weird but honestly it gets the job done. When I feed the compressed signal to the Micro Octave it's basically endless synthy sustain and it makes me a happy camper. Also, the volume synth is sweet to have since I don't have a volume pedal.

Octave sweeps from the Boss PS-6 at the beginning of the chain are so sweet... Make's the whole synth experience more exciting!:hyper:

Also.... forgot to add that at shows with my current project I also use a Roland VB-99 at the beginning of the chain. Pretty awesome sounds on that.

This is a sweet setup. How do you like the iron lung, and how do you use it?

Also, you asked about the second voice as an octave...I pretty much always use mine in the octave down setting. It is a very cool sounding dirty octave that works as a great building block for a synthy sound. Tracking can sometimes be a pain but you just have to use the right approach.

I use the Iron Lung just to sing a couple of R&B covers plus in the occasional quirky solo to sing nonsense. It's FUN.
It needs a dirty signal before it and that's what I use the Wolf Computer for.

On the Soundcloud bit just listen to Traveling or Yoshimi to hea the result.

Also I forgot to say about the Iron Lung:

It's best to have the bass signal be REALLY LOUD and the Mic Gain be the lowest in order to get more clarity and less feedback.

Also... the gender bender thing for me stays at about 1 o' clock... anything lower than 12 and you sound like a ******** robot.

wait for OSD is over. arrived yesterday and is killer.

been some recent refining but dirt/grind section complete and sounding pretty damn nasty.

probably use that last piece of real estate for dd-7 or flashback.

WOOT. bypass looper came in yesterday. between helping a bud with car stuf and recording (scratch tracks for a studio, decent'y 'uns for us) i didna get shtuff i NEEDED to get done, let alone have time to play with my board setup. but i'm off work the next two days, no practice or work so i have plenty of time to sort building cables and layout.

escited to have a Basically Done Board. yay!
