The Lavas are ok. They sound amazing, very clear. But troubleshooting them is a constant annoyance. You have to make sure the cable you just made actually works, and this could take several assembly attempts. Once they work, they keep working though, and rarely come loose save if the pedals they're plugged into get moved around a lot, and even then, they really don't come loose enough to mess with the signal.
If I could find a diy soldered cable kit with plugs as small as the Lava Mini's I'd seriously consider em, but I haven't, so...
Yeah, that was the problem that I had with George L's.
