PYPB 41 - Fred The Goldfish

I am finally at peace with all the pedals I have, all are used to different extent and they make the sounds I want - no more, no less.

I said the same thing about my main board, but no one believ(es/ed) me. Nice board. :bassist:

On the Rat clone, the pots light up to make a rainbow:

The lightup knobs are HAWT. Did you build that? (apologies if I missed that)

5sg.

I've been feeling pretty good about my board these days, except I've been missing the low pass filter capabilities of my former Xerographs... particularly using it for deep dub music. I didn't really dig the envelope part of the Xero, but I loved the low pass filter part. So, I just picked up my favorite variation of the Xero... :D

Super fun because I can setup. Not my main board ImageUploadedByTalkBass1367570844.509097.jpg

Messdrive+ #1 :) > LS-2 red channel/output > green channel to fx25b #1 > Maxon/Ibanez bass comp > meatbox > fx25b #2 w/ same settings as #1 > LS-2 green return for blending > Mastotron > Attack Goat > Boss bass flanger > amp, di, etc.
Too much fun!

I love my new Board. :hyper::hyper::hyper:

It all goes into a MONO club case. Those things are amazing.
The Signal flow goes:
Bass--Lehle SDriver - Polytune - Compressor (GEB7 (Monte Allum Modified. Inserted in the Comp's sidechain) - Multidrive - Analog CEB 3 (Modified OPA to Burr Brown) - Para EQ.

The connections are patched with home made Sommercable and Hicon Plugs. Everything powered by a Gator G-Bus.

I plan on adding a SFX micro-Thumpinator at some Point. Other than that I'm pretty happy about this board.

Great board! I love those Lehle buffers too. I've installed them on a couple of clients boards & I think it's the best buffer I've ever heard! Really makes a difference.

They are great. I really like how the input impedance make such a big difference in tone. The 10Mohm setting opens up the tone and you can hear the details, while the normal setting gives a warmer tone.

BTW, your review and Video of the Multidrive was one of the reasons I pull the plug on the empress. Thanks man.

I have a great Barge Concepts adjustable buffer (GLZ-1) but honestly, the Lehle sounds even better. I hate to get all hyperbolic, but it really does work magic when a buffer is needed! Night and day compared to a BOSS pedal buffer or similar.

The Multi drive really does kill on bass! So flexible. I admit I've gone back to my Bass-Drive Mosfet (purely for familiarity), but the Empress may get incorporated as well (it's on my guitar board at the moment).

I just hope I can wait until summer. I was at Musik Messe and the guys from lehle showed me the new Basswitch jr. I talked with Jens Olbrich, and he assured me that the buffer/boost circuit of the basswitch is the same of the Sunday Driver. They are going to release a smaller version of the Basswitch (€299 was the price he mentioned), which seems very tempting.

Lehle will also release a Boost pedal with EQ and couple of routing solutions.

That Phat Phuk with external bias is awesome - custom order direct from Matt I'm guessing? Or was it modded after purchase?

I had Matt whip me up a custom one. The bias mod totally opens the PPB up, I use it all the time for a lot of applications.

Anarchy, how do you like the Mojo Hand filter?

I assume this was addressed to me. The 443 is a no BS filter with a simple layout, it's not too wet or quacky and it has excellent low-end retention.
