PYPB 41 - Fred The Goldfish

Thank you Twhitedc.

I got the idea from BRMC's bassist. Delay sounds really good infront of fuzz to me now. It makes the repeats smash together and just sound trippy. Mode 7 is very insane infront of fuzz as well. I put the tuner last just so I have a buffer at the end of the chain.

As a side note, this is the best board I have made to date. I am super happy with every part of it. The GOD (lol) and 108 are just perfect for me and sound so good together. Both of them hold all of your low end without boosting the treble too much.

I have space for another pedal. What should I get guys?

Just picked up the Ditto at GC. Aww yeah.

Crowded board. In the pic the pedals look like they're overhanging the edge, but they fit the width of the board exactly.

The Civil War Muff and BYOC OD2 are in the Wonderlove effects loop through a blender. And pretty much everything except the Love Squeeze and the VT Bass are in the Pre/Post loop of the Mobius.

Been working on this and trading pedals in and out for a long time, but I'm totally happy with this and done. :hyper: (At least for now...)

Sweet board!!

I assembled this today with parts-on-hand. This is the first iteration of my board. I made those two preamps, and the board was the one that I used when I was painting them -- seems fitting.

Look, I know it's kinda ghetto, but I run a pretty minimalist setup that I use for both guitar and bass. Looking to replace that Muffpi with, or simply add, a Pork Loin to that.

...haven't assembled the pedal on the end, obviously.

Here's my new Salvage Custom pedal board. It's a Zombie Tweed Case with a walnut board and it came out killer. I was originally told it would take 10-12 weeks and it took TWENTY-TWO friggin' weeks to get here... communication was also horrible, so be forewarned... but they did recently add some guys to help get stuff out the door and get the communication thing going a little better. Regardless, they did do a really good job on the construction part of it.

Here's some pics of the board... I spared no expense and added a Loop-Master staggered 10-channel effects loop with tuner out and master bypass, an MXR/CAE power supply, and then wired it all up with Lava Ultramafic soldered mini plugs on Friday night... it took me until 4:30 in the morning but the end result came out killer.

Zombie tweed... I'm honestly tired of the whole zombie thing, but I love this finish!

I used all brass fasteners... I thought it would be a cool match to the zombie tweed and clash with the nickel hardware in a good way.

Arranging, soldering and wiring madness!!! Take my advice... use a workspace that has a solid color and not a tablecloth with a weird pattern on it. I thought my eyes were going to fall out trying to find toold and parts I needed.

FINISHED!!! With a loop to spare! :D

Shot of my complete rig from my gig on Saturday night... that's my own JBL powered stage monitor as well.

Awesome!

If you don't mind my asking, was the Salvage board super expensive?

Awesome!

Thanks!

I'm not rich (not even close) so it was definitely expensive for me... I actually sold a really nice bass to finance this pedalboard project... but it is a piece of handmade American craftsmanship from a small boutique builder, so it really is worth it, IMO. It's verging on folk art.

Here's their website... http://www.salvagecustom.com/

They have some stuff listed for sale, so you can get a ballpark figure based on those numbers.
