Nice Salvage, Addison!
I recently got a custom Salvage board too. It's awesome but very expensive and the lead times are loooooong. I was one of the first few batches before they had an improved system and it took 6 1/2 months to complete. To boot, when it arrived the connections were all wrong. We altered the work order within a few weeks of placing my order and they did not consult the revision when it came time to build. Very frustrating, BUT they are really good dudes who build some really cool sh!t. All and all, I was ok with the pricing considering the quality of the product. I even could understand the long wait, but I was pissed to find out that after paying up front, in full and waiting that long that they got the connections wrong. Having said that, Daniel took it back in and is "modifying" it to meet the designed spec.
I also bought a "stock" small board for smaller situations as my big board is HUGE (36" X 20"). This little guy is all wired up and I'm loving it!!! Got a Pelican case to transport it safely and easily. I'll be posting pics very soon.
Don't want to dog the boys at Salvage but thought I'd offer this story as some personal experience for anyone thinking of going the Salvage route. My advice: buy a stock board. Fast, easy and awesome. The custom piece is amazing (has all my "ultimate" board desires) but it's painstaking with their current process and staff.
Funny enough, I'd still recommend them but proceed with caution and be sure to make a very clear mock up of your specs and double, no triple, confirm before they start the build. If you do have issues they take care of you, but it's a slow process. Those without patience should look elsewhere.
