PYPB 41 - Fred The Goldfish

Fuzz CITY!

Haha. I can't justify getting rid of any of them yet either. The Mastotron and the Mammoth are obviously pretty similar. But they aren't identical, and most of my favorite basses are active, so they both see play time. The Hoof is my muff of choice and the Polish is my OD, even though at more intense settings its pretty fuzzy. I don't tend to play "gritty" stuff. I'm either in Fuzz City or out in Cleanville.

Latest version of my board, the B3K, Orbital, and Dark Driving are new.

Really dig this set up. DarkGlass B7K, Oxide and Submarine are what I use as well, but so want to stick a Tall Font Russian in the mix like you have. A little jealous. :D

That's a Pickle Pie B, Ive been thinking about trying to trade it for a TFR to see what its like. I do love the blend on the PPB though.

Submarine is always on, and the Swell probably gets the most use of all the other pedals, but I'm working more fuzz into our sets...

The PD7 has a clean, overdrive, and distortion mode. All three modes are very usable. In fact, I have a third PD7 which might end up replacing the steel leather and possibly the mole. Theoretically, I could just flip the switch, but the two (or three) pedals fed into each other in there different modes sounds absurdly good. You get the warm oompf from the overdrive mixed with the biting attack from the distortion and the clean along with it keeps you from losing dynamics or note definition. Alone it sounds real good, but it really shines when stacked... imho, ymmv, etc.

It was my first pedal. And I love it, especially with my xxl. I recently got a ls-2 which has helped define the fuzz in the mix. The swollen pickle can be massive, without any loss of bottom end. I just find being a fuzz you obviously lose articulation in the mix. That's where the ls-2 comes in. I pretty much run every one of my pedals with the ls-2 as a clean blend. This keeps the bottom end focused and precise in the mix but still huuuuuge.
