PYPB 43

The Gecko is almost identical to the Mouse with the exception you can put it in a special preset mode and have non consecutive programs more accessible. I.E. I can assign preset 1 to program 5 and then preset 2 to program 110 and so fourth. I haven't made use of that feature, but I mainly bought it over the Midi Mouse because I like its appearance more and even though its a little bigger on the Gecko, I thought the side midi out jack on the Mouse would limit my flexibility with placement.

You had me at sidejacks :)

I found a store that has the gecko up here, I will definitely look at that one if I make the plunge with the midi hub. Thanks!

if it's a song where i use one Strymie Box on and off a bunch through different sections, then yeah. i put it on a DMC footie. way easier to get to. but where it shines is it will turn on/off all four of the top row in any combination.

so even if i don't need the Mobie, H9, TL, and Bugh Skuh on at the same time, i can click it once to get them all to the correct patch, again to turn them off, then reach up to them when i need 'em.

SOOOOO freaking badass.

Behndy's board is pure sex...Dan's etchings are amazing!

Made a slight tweak to my board. Tired of playing in dark spaces and not being able to see mah little boxes of joy, so I rigged some of my film equpiment to my Pedaltrain. Saved money by not having to purchase another piece of gear and I have the Light Of The World casting upon my board of joy.

Next week or two I'm going to install some blue LEDs on the underside of the board

Nice!

That is pretty rad. I'm real slow when it comes to midi. I don't know why or how. It just makes no sense to me. I finally got my H9 and M9 to sync up tap tempos somehow. So ya using a box like that might be helpful in my future if I can wrap brains around it.

lol. i'm sort of a git about MIDI. i get it, but i haven't ever done enough with it so i can setup superficial control stuff, usually need a bit of help the first time from a friend or docs, but if something goes weird i get SUPER frustrated. i don't at alllll have a deep enough handle on it to be comfy fixing problems.

that said, the DMC stuff is really intuitive and Matt from Disaster Area is really helpful and communicative.

The orbital seems about the size of a boss pedal with cables connected? Always sweet board btw!

Thanks yanks! I'm diggin it too and the orbital sounds sweet through my rig. Yummy. It's actually a little bigger than a boss pedal. The orange part is about the size of a boss, then you have the footswitch section. It's still smaller than I thought it would be. Very compact.

Hmmm, I have a manta coming and I'm trying to figure out how to fit it on my already maxed board.... all this SA gear is raising the bar.

Played my first gig with the new band last night, and used this setup:

Loving the Diabolik, it's a perfect 2nd fuzz to go alongside the muff, gets really nasty/industrial/gated/amazing :)

Only trouble is I want to use my delay too, so it's looking like I need a bigger board... but I'm going to wait til the bass whammy comes out, as that won't fit on a PT-JR!!

Links to a couple of tracks from the album below, coming out later in the year, if anyone interested (lots of fuzz/synth bass going on!)

Dude, I just realized that your profile pic is from the event horizon, LOVE that movie, one of my favorites.

I opened up the Orbital this morning and I have to say it looked a lot like the inside of a DG pedal what with all the super small caps and components and such and very nice and neat, very cool. I too am going to have to eliminate or get a tad bigger board. I plan on getting the Manta as well so its going to be very hard decision making when the time comes. I already took my OC2 off, I am missing it. But I put the 60b in its place and its doing the job fairly well. I may actually have to start a sister board because with a Manta and the new Bass Whammy coming out this year, there is no way I can lose anymore pedals off my existing board, just aint gonna happen.
