PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

Rebuilt my gig board around my new Noble DI - liking the current sound quite a bit (was running a Nano with an Ampeg DI, Broughton LPF/HPF and tuner).

That's the same reason I'm replacing the VT bass. Because of the resonance hump. I'm hoping I can deal with that with the tweakability of the omnicabsim. I've actually been just using the record output of the Meatsmoke with decent results to hold me over until it comes in.
I'm forgetting, did you order it straight from Daniel? I know around November he changed the LPF range and resonance response. I had the first iteration of the OCSD and can't speak to the newer model. Also, good to know about the VT. I've been wondering whether it can replace the SVT model on my Zoom B3N

Ah ok. Yeah mine is coming from his latest batch.

How small can they make a pedal? Those Mooer's and TC electronic's are already small but HoTone can do them with an even smaller footprint.

Filled the last empty spot on the board, HoTone Harmonist.
One more Hotone next to the Ditto, or go for a tiny Albit micropedal or Henretta Engineering or super-micro heel kleine Tone Butcher pedals... :)

I had both at the same time for a while. Both are excellent on bass. The regular hoof is a little smoother, the cloven a little more aggressive with a nastier top end. I actually liked the regular hoof a little more, but the cloven hoof was a gift from my wife so I must reinforce that behavior by using it haha!
How the you like the Cloven Hoof on bass?
Did you compare it to the normal Hoof?
Thanks! :)

It's been months since my last post, so here it goes...

  • Chain: Fender Jazz -> Comp - Bluesdriver - Manta - Delay - VT (reverb in fxloop underneath) -> Markbass amp.
  • On the left is a taptempo for the delay.
  • Manta: one preset is phaser, the other is for messin' around.
  • Compressor just got put on, I'll see if it is usefull, otherwise it will get replaced.
  • VT is my always on pre amp. It always sounds very dirty with a lot of low end and punch.
At the moment I play in a stoner/psychedelic/rock band. Facebook.com/johnmarxmusic (if you want to check the sound)

There will be noise. One of these three will be killing it later. the darkstar parts bass will be taking the lead. The signal chain is Wah->modded CS2->Feed Me->Prometheus->Karaoke Party->Tight Drive->Bass Screamer->MOTH->Blowerbox->Tight Fuzz->TAFM-> Meltdown(way huge pierced moose clone)->lunareclipse->phase 90->bass chorus->modded Tremolo->Waza Vibrato->Modded Fab Echo->Modded DD3->Argo into the DD3(I'll post sound clips)

My crazy huge board for your consideration. Got the FMereon back after a trade-fail but it worked as this second chance has made me really try it and it's truly worth the effort! Also found a cool way to use the Prometheus as an envelope phaser (super chewy). Using a t1m mini expression knob to control the VB-2Ws depth with my foot. Besides that this beast hasn't changed for a while and it's finally settling in. Had a great jam session on Saturday with my rhythm guitarist and it was awesome.

I know you've probably answered this before, but do you have a concrete example of using all three H9s at once? I have two and 90% of the time they are mostly for different preset lists and different chain locations, only MAYBE 10% of the time do I use them simultaneously. Just curious.

It starts with the spring reverb (which stays on the whole time). The pitch-shifting is then on post intro and stays on. The "tape" delay is added on the chorus. I also use a EHX Freeze near the end before the last verse. Way Huge Pork Loin always on for a slight amount of grit

Now...I only have one h9, and might use mine differently. But I could def see occasions of using 3 at once. 1. Drive 2. Eq/comp or auto wha 3. Tremolo or delay
