SuperTBass, you whipped that thing out like an union inspector badge. "PBBBC inspector here, no sir you don't meet regs, I think you need two Darkglass pedals and a big preamp stat before you go on. Let me talk to Bob and see if I can work out a waiver just for tonight."

The ongoing project, my little big Tetris pedalboard ...
New configuration today to get the Carl Martin Bassdrive as well as the Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian onboard. I had to get a little creative and modded the Cusack pedal to move the power to the top. The wonky arrangement under the hood is the only way I could place the pedals and still have access to all input, output, direct out and power jacks. I must have spent an hour trying different positions before I found one that worked.
This is how the board will look for the foreseeable future, at least for the gigs this summer, with one possible change - I haven't quite decided whether I like the fuzz before or after the phaser.

This is likely my favorite pedal board design. I see no reason this type of board isn't commercially available. If it had a flat area for volume/wah pedals on the right I suspect many folks would buy.The ongoing project, my little big Tetris pedalboard ...

Thanks! There are two-tier boards out there, both off-the-shelf and custom, and with space for volume pedals too, though I don't believe I've seen any with a hinged upper level. It makes a lot of sense to me though, hide the stuff you don't need to reach all the time, but you can still get access to it easily.

Some more changes to my little friend; decided I dug the DOD Octoplus versus the Pearl Octaver (the tone control and the fact it only has a -1, I would very rarely use the rest on the Pearl clone). Got a Nose BFE (Big Expression Pedal with 2 TRS channels) and it controls the H.O.G. or the BSY-600 Bass Synth (the BSY-600 truly turns into another pedal with this option). Using the Source Audio HH3 on the BEF-PRO and/or Geiger Counter. Getting rid of the Boss RC-2 Loop Station and Roland RE-20 Space Echo as I only used the looper as a more simple approach and wanted something with better bypass than the RE-20 but couldn't find anything that could match its mojo....till now! These two will be replaced by a TC Electronics Alter Ego X4 (amazing delay/looper with 12 different settings as well as 4 tone print slots,40-sec looper with undo, can use the looper and delay and overall MUCH better bypass as well as no dedicated wall wart: WIN!) The MSLP noise suppressor I had was in a 1590B but was warned that because of the tight fit that it might not function as well. It took a crap on me last week so Mark at MSLP is redoing it in a 125B enclosure that is guaranteed stable. Slowly my pedal "count" is going down but the tone/quality/overall control goes up!
Pedals: (will be) 16 down from 21 a year ago.

Using that for my other small board, I think I posted it a few pages back. Sound and tracking-wise I like the B-wham better, but the H9 can do stuff that no whammy can, and I really only use it for pitch-shifting.
Newly put together board. Just about squeezed it all on there without having to turn the tuner sideways! The MXR pair are sideways on purpose as they are used for self oscillation spaceship noises with the knobs being tweaked by my left foot.
I'm a big fan of the carbon copy/phase 90 combo.
Very nice setup, I'd rock that board hard and happily!
