Raised the rear of the HX Stomp XL up about 5/8" or so for a better angle on the screen. Moved some pedals around and changed the patch cables to my Mogami/GLS pancake's from the EBS flat cables.
This board will always be connected to HXEdit for tweaking and once I'm more familiar with this setup, it'll move to the floor.

Updated my board a bit. The OC-3 didn't stay long. Liked it, didn't use it. And this week I changed the Kaleidoscope for a Walrus Fathom and the BF-3 for a Phase 100

wow, I had the same board for more than a year!

Anyhoo, the Fathom got replaced by a Slö and I got an OC-5 now on it. The gap is for an incoming JPTR FX Jive

Posting work in progress, as I am getting okay-ish at making cables. I'm not great at pre-solding and I have dumped more solder on sleeves than is necessary. Still, for my first go at it, three TS and three TRS isn't bad. Still have some jacks coming and am quite confident TRS to dual mono won't be as hard as I thought it would be. These first few took entirely too long. Only messed up two (checking with meter of course), and it was all sleeve issues.

Soldering indoors can't be smart. Got a headache after making these. Need some sort of air suction.

The rule is that whatever I get has to fit on this small board - which is a pain in the butt! I want to get an expression pedal for the hx one eventually but don't want to change boards so who knows what I'll do? ‍

Just got a new Vintage Microtubes… still need to figure out where it will go on the board but here's the starting point. The Octamizer swaps places with an OC-2 or OC-3 sometimes.

I'll try it sometime. I recently got a Japanese OC-2 for less than $100… it has that snob factor that makes everything sound better! And it takes an ACA type power supply, so it gets extra points for the inconvenience.

If you don't do much soldering and don't want to spend the bucks on a commercial extractor, there's DIY info to build your own, such as:

Solder Fume Extractor - The Tone God

Recommended to fab some sort of basic fan-filter, even if you only do occasional soldering.

I'm thinking of a cheap 6in inline fan and just run some ducting from where I'm soldering out a door/window.

Switched some stuff around, and replaced my Latent Lemon Brassmaster with a Moose Eletronics Nomad (Foxx Tone Machine clone). The brassmaster is awesome, but a bit too much for my liking. The Nomad is a bit easier to tame, but can still get quite nasty.

Got rid of EQ, Octaver, Dusk Filter and Tuner. New: Eventide H90+Switch for Banks and Tuner.
Jam-Pedals are in the insert of H90 and can be placed anywhere in the chain.

I am very happy so far!

Work further in progress. Still not amazing at cables, but much, much faster, and not making mistakes. However, these just came in, so, I may attempt a TRS to dual mono tonight. Haven't used heat shrink before, but I do have a heat gun.

Got some more power cabling coming as there is just barely enough to power all of this.

The 105b is going. Got a 105M coming tomorrow. MIDI Baby 3 ordered. Whenever the used Blooper market gets cheaper I will add one next to the SL-2.

Welp. Sp500's are a tad too large for the dual mono ends, so, definitely not soldering those this weekend. Sp400/sps4's on the way! I did not think through that the width of a TRS to dual mono cable would be half of what is listed at the mono end of things, because, well... half... Lesson learned. Bunch of extra jacks.

A bit of heat shrink to thicken it up? I'm going to be doing cables for my ML10X soon too, so also trying to get TRS to dual mono all figured out.

I do have heat shrink and I think it's still too big (I did email BTPA just to be sure). For the straight end of the ML10X, I have sps7s plugs and Mogami 2528 cabling. I went ahead and ordered some sp400 and sps4's for the dual mono ends though, because either those will work or no square plugs will work and I have to go to a different brand, and I don't think that is the case.

Finally got to set the board up during the holidays (and do a bit of cable management underneath). The new dirt section (CMC, Jive, MBD2) is going strong, but I still gotta try Jive in a live setting.
