My pedalboard for the gig next tuesday.

1. Boss OC-3 > Boss FV-60 > DI
2. EHX LPB-1 > EHX Muff Overdrive > EHX Big Muff Pi > EHX Neo Clone > Boss FV-60 > Ampeg PF-500

Every pedal on is like one big huge mess, and it sounds sooo rich! As I only have one guitarist; who by the way only plays high melodies, I have a lot of space to fill, which I happily do!

If you're looking to add pedals I'd say some dirt (OD, distortion and/or fuzz) is where I'd look - something that pairs well with the Octabass and Bass Envelope Filter.

How'd you settle on your signal chain? If that were my board I'd run it TU-2 > Octabass>Deep Impact > BEF >Compressor > BF-3 > Space > Carbon Copy but I'm always interested in why people do things differently.

If all you want is a looper the upcoming TC Ditto (as Childish Gambino pointed out) would be a nice solution that wouldn't take up a lot of space. As for the Flashback and Timeline I think (like pretty much all delay/loopers) that they have some compromises/quirks in terms of using them as loopers to where I think a dedicated looper is probably a better choice.

That said, the Flashback is a great deal for the price and the Timeline is an amazing delay. As long as you view them as delays that CAN do looping as a feature then I think you'll be satisfied.

I love the photo-theremin, I use it in a song with my band now in combo with the suboctave and reverb, it gives a cool background noise, honestly kinda sounds like the THX testing sounds, pretty fun! Invalid Link Removed . I also use it with the Terrordactyl, phaser, and ringtone to make some sweet UFO noises! Its a great instrument if you are into noise! I love to experiment around with it and make strange noises, so for me it was a great purchase!

Wow a lot of sweet boards in the last few pages. Vlad, Jeff Moote, Marshbass, XXL, twhitedc and VikingJedi's are just a few of the boards I would totally rock.

A few pedals I see in this thread are making wish I had more money right now, that tweed Psilocybe is awesome, the Dark Driving has been on my radar for a while also. The Mobius is also really tempting and I gotta have an Expressionator in the near future...

Here's my board, the only change from the last time I posted is the OC-2 who took over for the Octron. Its tracking is not as good as the Octron but I like the tone right now so it's gonna stay for a while.. Also gotta change the jack on my EP-2 for a right angle so it'll reach my Xero D..

Just a little update here. MAJOR overhaul. Picked up the Mobius, empress buffer, and a loop gate. This signal chain is kind of crazy. Can't wait to finish the wiring up and get the Barbershop in!!!

Thanks Dr. G.. I think you have my favorite mix of pedals on your board.. Every time I see the Submarine I get jealous, should of never traded that one away.
Darkdriving is pretty cool, seems you like a bunch of different flavors of dirt (like me), so adding the DD would definitely give some good tones.. DD>B3K>Elements is bad ass!!

Nice boards all around!

Hey Shep, how do you use your ClusterFlux?

I have one of my own, but I'm not sure if I can use it practically on my live board. I can get some beastly sounds out of it (using a sonus b2m for MIDI control to blend in some tuned comb filter tones with my dry signal is awesome), but I feel like I would need several "support pedals" to make the most of it outside the studio. Something like a loop gate to stop unwanted feedback/clock noise, and a Mutable MIDIpal to reign in the MIDI notes from my b2m -- I just can't practically justify all of that...

I don't use any midi function of it other than letting it recirce a time clock. It's my main chorus and flanger used on subtle settings (like the settings on the pic) and for me its the deepest, lushest sounding analog chorus out there.

I also use it during improv and knob fiddling moments to make some amazing whale-call-esque noises etc. Check the bandcamp link in my sig and listen the live version of 'Get Money' on the 'Live from Dogstock' EP. I have it on chorus mode (with a ton of other stuff) all the way through, but at the end of the tune I play a hammer-on and knob twiddle so you can hear the stuff I do with it.

I LOVE it. I have my MP-201 controlling bits of it via LFO sometimes too for utter crazy moments.

Cool stuff -- the flux comes through very nicely on that track.

I think I'm gonna have to experiment with it some more next time I do an impro-session, and see if I can come up with some less MIDI dependant sounds. I do have a conveniently 'fooger shaped, knob-twiddle-dedicated slot on my board after all...

So far I've really enjoyed using it as an outboard effect for all sorts of mixing purposes, like widening guitars or adding some crazy spice to a snare drum track. Definitely a fun little thing to work with.
