FINALLY... no alarm clock, no schedule and work hasn't called... yet. Got a couple new pedals and had a chance to revamp my effects, and here's the outcome. At least, until my Rusty Box gets here that is! Monday, hopefully???

EDIT: Somehow the 2nd board ended up with all overdrive and envelope (and a token octaver for something else I guess). How'd THAT happen? lol

My board is DONE! (it's name is Space Bass Station)The Vibrothang is a nice Tremolo/Phaser with synced speed. Leslie on the cheap but it works for me! The GR's effects loop is AWESOME! Overall there is NO sound I cant make that I would want so to speak...(fuzz/synth/delay/envelope filter/wah/octave/blah blah blah)........Heres a night shot!

A while back, I was trying to put together a bass with my ideal tone, and was sweating over the details.

I finally went back to playing my Ric, and was like "Ah, the hard part's done, now all I need is a "rock" preamp and maybe an effect/pedal or two."

I think I have almost too many effects, and then I go on this thread.

No.....no.

Apparently I don't have too many effects and now, a newfound justification for more of them.

The story of the recent keyboard stand use goes like this.

Mecha Shiva Plays this show:

Which as you can see I have my board on the floor.

Then after our set a drunk acquaintance (who runs a glass blowing shop; soft glass and boro) comes up to shake hands and say hi and give us props, then proceeds to give my drummer a death grip handshake. It was one of those crushing beyond short guy with small penis handshakes into the territory of irony that everyone should have a laugh handshakes.

Unfortunately my drummer has an old hand injury and that death grip handshake re-fractured the injury.

So as a result and rather than cancelling shows we put together an electro/sample/ableton live/Moog Filtatron/Bass-->Pedalboard/Noise set for a show two weeks after. To make life a little easier on me since it was essentially all knob twiddlez I put my board on a KB stand.

I have run a floorboard-->KB stand setup in the past but I'm all floorboard now.

And our drummer is all healed up.

Not so much,...My drummer and him exchanged words,...something to the effect of "you should check yoself on the deathgrip hand shakes dude,...you never know,...."

They are cool now though and when I told dude, he felt bad and apologized to my drummer. Drummer dude knows nurses and **** so he didn't have to pay any doctor bills on the incident so,...all is good.

Electroset was fun (we gave my wife a braingasm and she normally hates Mecha Shiva/never comes to our shows). We may do it again sometime for grins. I especially like that rather then cancel shows we moved forward in a different capacity and held to our obligations.

lulz. i ****ing HATED when i was without a drummer in my last band. but y'all did it right. we just ran me and singer/synth player with drums on the backing tracks and a bit glitched up.
