PYPB XXXIII - Effects are STOOPID

I think when you are doing improvisational noise like Mecha Shiva,...that sort of adaptation translates well. It actually adds some structure (Drummer put together some beats not unlike the non Mecha Shiva glitch stuff he does,...check the Soundcloud) that's not normally there. Amelia (the wife) said that it sounded like we were the little tripod drones (cept more friendly then the War of the Worlds kind) translating communications from the mothership.
It's not so much effective when you are trying to do canned beats in order to get around a flaky drummer and playing arranged music; IMO.
I thought it was really cool that our guitar player ditched his guitar for his iPod Touch and his iPhone both running the Moog Filtatron apps. He also recorded one of the other band's members saying something into his Roland Dr. Sample's mic and played it back during the set.
The set is recorded,...not sure when it will be up. The 1st and 3rd acts were great,...the middle act where we tried to improv a structured beat and bass line I am a little less enamored with.

FWIW,...the glass blower dude is a friend of mine so I was a little disappointed in him,...but happy that he realized his eff up and apologized for it.

honestly though, they are WAY better live than recordedededs. some of their YouTube vids are more indicitive of their DESTRUCTIVE POWERS.

wow.... just checked out some of their live shizz. damned impressive, makes me feel impotent and weak, i cant even play and sing. think i might buy the album, sounds worth it.
lulz. i know! every time i see people live either the music is horrible and i just want them to stop, or the bass player is boring and i want to push him off stage and take his place or they just KILL and i swap between having a good ass time and wanting to cut the bass player's hands off and eating his brains.

FINALLY... no alarm clock, no schedule and work hasn't called... yet. Got a couple new pedals and had a chance to revamp my effects, and here's the outcome. At least, until my Rusty Box gets here that is! Monday, hopefully???
EDIT: Somehow the 2nd board ended up with all overdrive and envelope (and a token octaver for something else I guess). How'd THAT happen?lol

my current board:
it's pretty tame by comparison to most of the boards here!!! but does everything i need - no matter how many other types of effects i buy i always come back to dirt, and occasional delay!!
i'm really liking this setup, been using it like this (minus the BBBOD, won in a recent trade) for over a year in my current band, and everything works really well together. the DD-3 is obviously pretty simple but does what i need (wish it had a few presets though), phat b is a superb little booster, and set really low the BB is a great mild o/d.
real surprise was the BBBOD, got in a recent trade - it sits really nicely after the BB as an edgier distortion, even at mid to low gain it's quite woofy, almost a mild fuzz.. only problem is i just don't use my tri pie any more. it's just sat up on the shelf now, giving me evil looks! it's watching me now...

yeah, B3k would probably be top of my list if i hadn't got the BBBooooooOD in a trade. it's a weird pedal, it sounds nothing like you'd expect from the mad prof description, and definitely no good as a low gain pedal... but it's a great distortion pedal, and stacks veeery nicely with the rest of my board.

i just got my M9 in.... think i'm actually happy enough that my main board's gonna be static for a hinute. well, the Oxide & Ugly Face are gonna give up their spots for the Poly Grace, the Heliotrope gets booted when the Franta gets back and i'm going to have to figure out what to do when the Expressionator gets done. but BESIDES that minimal shuffling, think this is set for main stuffs.
i even did clean wiring for the first time in forevah!
and the goods........

Hahahahahah! actually Super Adventure Club is 100% ironic. so ironic that they are really pure in their irony and it gets mistaken for sincerity. Drummer has a mohawk, sings, dances, plays keyboard and drums all at the same time. Bass player does the same.
I got my solid body Kala ubass. IT IS THE DEEPEST THING EVER. put it through the Xerograph and every creature in the neighborhood had a bowl movement. so special.
I don't think I want to go back to regular scale bass ever again. metal strings just sound small in comparison.
