Hey Jean, how's that Airplane flanger work for bass? I've been thinking of getting one for my guitar pedalboard and if it works well on bass: BONUS!

Overall, it works well... however, it doesn't have any kind of mix/blend so if you have the range set high, the low end will drift away as the flange goes into the higher frequencies. I've always loved flangers and that kind of goes with the territory, but there's actually a good variety of different sounds in it for more experimental stuff (the booklet includes sample settings for laser pistol, police siren, talkbox, wah, etc.) - it's like a cheap A/DA Flanger with no power cord.

What exactly do you have going on here? At first I was thinking -- why does anyone need a A/B switch to select between a tuner & 1 pedal... but, you've also got a wireless unit on there, and maybe there's tone suck issues... anyways -- feel free to explain a bit...

AAAHH how's that Meatbox sound with that Moog combo? I've been dreaming of trying that but have been too afraid I would burst into flames and most likely rocket out of a ceiling.

cheers! having a love/not so much love relationship with the tri pie. great fun using it at home but I find it doesn't cut through too well in a band, and i don't really use fuzz in my current band...

i'm using the phat b for 2 things. firstly, as a boost when the drummer/guitarist/everyone in my band gets loud, just to beef up the bass without really distorting it too much, and yeah, also to drive the BB preamp.

i set my BB preamp (as i think a few on here do) with bass boosted, treble cut and very low gain. this gives a really nice, low gain o/d sound. when i drive it with the phat b, it is similar to stepping on the boost channel on a FT bassdrive, if you've used one. just beefs the sound up a bit and acts a bit like a gain control too. if you put it after the BB (as i'm sure you've noticed on your board with the pickle pie B) it will just act as more of a volume booster.

i think the BB and the phat B work really well together, giving you a sort of 4 channel setup (clean, phat b, BB and phat b into BB). looots of options with just 2 pedals

Thanks. I use the meatbox as a 'sub bass'. It's after the filter so no matter what I'm actually playing everything just shakes. Which is perfect for that electronica/dub/dubstep style sound.

I'll give the 201 w/fatman a try once my amp gets here. I'm using the fatman w/the orbit's laser gun sounds. A quick filter w/ heavy gate I think would sound great

Try one if you can. It's still my favourite muff type fuzz, really smooth and chewy!!
