it's like shooting fish in a barrel with a shotgun and the barrel happens to be made of fish too.

That's the Muff I use. I refuse to sell it, and it's been with me since I started playing when I was 16. I've tried other muffs out there...some are pretty good...but this one just has the tone I like.
Hindsight is 20/20 :-(Best muff I ever tried out was little miss Suzy, damn I can't remember her last name.
I'm not sure. For my use it doesn't matter either. I use a short scale passive with Chrome flats. That's my thing. I do tend to use the bridge humbucker and roll the tone knob up and it makes a noticeable difference.
How about the Grey Stache by Fuzzroccious? What do you think about this one?
The Big Game was cool. But I feel like it's ok to mention that it's just a grey stache. Down to the mods and even the knobs.
When I first decided on a Muff it was actually a toss up between the TFR and the Greystache. I decided on the Tall Font because of simplicity (at the time it was my first pedal). I'll have to revisit Fuzzrocious.
This seems right.
That's weird. From a fuzz pedal? Mine all sound super clean.I am not a huge fan of the Grey Stache - mine was a feedback mess.
Excellent group of pedals there. I'd say thats all you need (as I look over at my rack of 61 pedals, lol). Curious to hear what you think of the civil unrest. The Box Of War is the closest Ive gotten to @Phillyfunk original Sovtek Civil War. But I've had only good experiences with the SUF pedals. If the wren and cuff dude has a big muff doctorate degree the SUF def has his masters. So it begins...

Initial thoughts: two different beasts. Need lots of time with this one.
Is this a typical comparison between these two?
What are other 'smooth, round, lower gain' Muffs?
