question about Boss LMB-3 bass limiter/enhancer

I am using this pedal in front of an LM2 and would like some input on what the optimal settings would be for the ratio/threshold/enhancer knobs in order to insure that my bass cuts through the mix. I typically have been setting the VLE around 9 o'clock and the VPF around 7-8 o'clock since I love the mid range sound that this amp has but I also like what the boss pedal does in front of this. I am playing a gig tomorrow night in a medium sized room, should be 100-150 people. I will be using both a Marcus Miller jazz bass and American standard P bass. Thanks for any help with this.

Can't say for sure about what my settings are except I know the Enhancer is set to 0 (all it seems to do is add noise). The other settings are set somewhere in the middle, nothing drastic.

I actually switch it in and out with my other pedals (Boss Flanger, Boss Bass Overdrive, Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive) using my Bassbone.

Check out the FAQ linked in my sig- there's an article there about "good settings". And +1 to leaving the "enhance" knob set to zero. In fact, as long as you do that, all the other settings will be about the same in terms of how you do or don't cut through the mix- but turning the "enhance" knob up at all is like dialing yourself out of the mix.
