Question for Markbass LM2 owners

Yup, and it does sound very nice. The growl comes through the 12s, I use the 15" for some serious foundation.

That said, I normally run them together because

a) I'm getting full power from the head with a 4ohm load
b) I'm a volume nut when it comes to my bass. Loud loud loud loud loud loud loud.

I'd go 4 the LMII - Pay the Extra $100 extra Headroom(it's a LOUD li'l Freak) & GREAT amp & easy transport....+ of course great tone & versatility= LMII IMHO BTW I DO get a good growl outta my REggie Hamilton sig. Jazz thru the LMII & Aggie cabs!

anyone using one with an Avatar 210 neo?

One of my setups is a LMKII and Avatar 210 neo. I mostly use this at church which plays Gospel stuff like Fred Hammond, Tye Tribbett etc. and run it with a kind of scooped-mid eq with the bass and treb slightly boosted, the low mids flat and high mid slightly cut and vpf slightly turned up. I do this because IMO the 210 neo has more fundamental highs and lows and less low midrange than other avatar cabs which i think would be the growl that you are looking for. I have a 212 non neo as well and get tons of growl from that one. But, try turning your low mids 2:30 (clockface) on the amp and high mids to 10:30 and the VLE to about 9:00, bass and treb set flat. IMO this should boost the frequencies that will give you some "gowl".

My setup (@ home) Geddy Lee body, Warmoth maple neck (+FB), Sadowsky humcancelling JJ, half dead LaBella HRS strings, LMII, Avatar 1x15 (the small one). (My setup at gigs - see sig.) Love it.
