I checked the serial number of the used Pedulla Pentabuzz I have on layaway. It was made in 2004. Does it need the special Pedulla tool for trussrod adjustment?

Autoharp Tuner! The tool is identical to the Pedulla truss rod wrench.
$12 at Amazon.

isn't that just a standard tuning peg/piano tuner?
also, why on earth does pedulla do this?
Wow! You can’t go wrong with a Pedulla at $995. Just order the Harp Tuner referenced above. Thanks for your help. The bass is coming in a Fender hard shell case with no trussrod wrench, but the pawn shop is giving me a great deal at $995 + tax, so I can’t complain.
I've owned three Buzz basses and the coating never lifted. It did wear slightly but was never a problem.
Michael does use a strange truss rod but you will find it very effective. A small tweak and the relief changes. However, you must be very careful to keep in mind that it works exactly backwards. Turning the nut clockwise increases the relief...counter clockwise reduces it.
Here is the bass I am getting.
my 1994 ET5 and ET6 , both had the wooden handle truss wrench ...
i miss my ET5 ..! have fun with that one Dr ..!!
here's my old Pedulla .... i had upgraded/changed pups and added Ag OBP-3 ... the new barts and pre really opened up the tonal varieties ... ( over the active bart pups and thunderguts pre )View attachment 2851107
Yep, I tried to find a socket that would fit, everywhere, I ended up buying one from Pedulla. BUT a buddy of mine said, the shape and size of the truss rod, looks like a DRUM KEY would fit it, but the outer diameter of drum key is too big, I spent all of a Saturday, going to all hardware stores, hoody stores, etc, trying to find a tool, that would fit on the truss rod.I checked the serial number of the used Pedulla Pentabuzz I have on layaway.
