Edit: Also you can count me in for the Genz 212. HOWEVER I would also say to give Don at low down sound a call to see what he could cook up for you. You might be surprised at what you could get for the price, and he's really helpful and to the point with these things. Just my $.02.

I do 5 or 6 gigs a month without PA support, and the NeoX212t carries the room great. I'm usually on about 11:00 on the Shuttle 6 master volume.

Clips. Pleeeeeze, clips! I've been agonizing about dumping my modular setup and going to a one cab (NeoX-212T) solution with my 6.0.

A 6.0, or any 200-600 watt amp for that matter, sitting on a NeoX, is the cat's PJ's IMO.

A 100-300 watt tube amp is even better.

Well a decision has been made. Sticking with my Markbass 102 and 151. The money for a new cab goes to a local businessman who charged $1000 to fix a septic problem at my house. Ugh.

Emperor cabinets!
Haha, but seriously, they are awesome sounding cabs, super cool look, and affordable.
Downside: heavy, if you arent near chicago then you may have more trouble with shipping, but I dont know, I only have experience with local.

If you feel like giving them a try I'll say that while they def. arent the hifi cab like some out there, their sound would be absolutely appropriate for classic rock. Frankly I like them a lot better than many cabs that I have tried, including the brands that were touted as superior to emperor, and ESPECIALLY anything in a near price range. Only things I liked better were twice the price for the same capabilities more or less.

Emperors sound great in any room, have balls the size of watermelons, and have tight tight punch even way down there.
