Quilter just raised their prices across the entire product line!
In my opinion, the BB800 is still a great deal at $649.

No reason to charge more...
Labor and component pricing isn't a factor?
I distinctly remember a post in one of the bass block threads outlining that these were being made in the QSC factory and at some point alternative manufacturing arrangements would need to be looked at. Or something along those lines at least. I'd say there's plenty going on that could impact pricing that we have no idea about.
No. Labor and component pricing isn't a factor in this case, and I'll try to explain to you why.
Labor has been estimeed and priced when they released the amp. They decided the price, not me or you.
Components? Since there's nothing about a change in components in Quilter's website, I guess all the components are the same, right? If they changed/upgraded components and/or the usual components became more expensive (which is possible), they should post that on their website and social media, exactly how Dr. Z made a while ago, if I remember correctly.
I love my BB800 to death and I respect Quilter's work, but you'll never hear me saying that since I love a piece of gear so much the manufacturer is allowed to charge more for the same item. Never.
In case of a V2 or one of the cases I mentioned, there's nothing wrong with that.
We're both speculating, I don't know ANYTHING about change in components or anything else, that's pretty clear if you read my message. I'm not speaking with any confidence, english isn't even my native language. Just read my message again.
Labour and component costs change due to inflation and currency fluctuations. Everyone has a right to change pricing to reflect these realities. Consumers have a right to buy or not depending whether they feel it's worth it.No. Labor and component pricing isn't a factor in this case, and I'll try to explain to you why.

Ok. I'm a douchebag and a troll. Are you happy?
I'm done here.
