I finally got to sit mine on top of my 2x10 double stack, and man did it sing. Capping the volume at 400W to match the available wattage, I brought the gain up to about 4.5, and had beefy onstage sound coverage; 2x10 stacks are super nice. Sound engineer plugged in to the line in, and he needed about 10 sec to dial me in to the house. For this one, I had a touch of bass boost, touch of high rolloff on the amp, and fed it my Le Bass pre using clean, dirty, and Hot Fusion, and at times Le Bass bypassed with a Swollen Pickle fuzz thru a Xerograph Deluxe filter controlled with exp pedal. And at other times, a chorus/phaser mix with some octave-up sprinkled in. It was a fun gig sonically heh
This outfit's sound really benefits from the headroom gotten at that setting, yet I still feel like there's more native attack/punch when it gets spanked than in my control group, my trusty MB200. I was playing on a punchy bass, so will need to test this further against the other members of the stable. For my purposes, yes: gimme the punch. So I hope it really is further evidence of the outstanding character of this puppy.
