Quilter Bass Block

Have you guys attempted to remove the red/black "hazard" Quilter logo/plate thing on top of the amp? Is it a decal that is stuck to the unit or is it screwed in via the side panel screws?

I don't want to go messing around if those screws are important...

It’s a sticker, and it came off clean (no sticky stuff) when I removed mine.

Not sure how to do an image on my phone... I’ll post a pic in a little

My images have been acting funny (not showing up on the threads, but showing up when I go to edit them). Any-hoo, hope this one works...

Wow! I just got my Quilter in the mail today and I am really impressed!!!
Really clean flat sounding tone that can be tweaked with the easy to use controls to get some great sounds! Big fat tone, nice mid sounds, or nice treble if needed.
I love the old school tone I can get for my P bass too!

I was suprised just how small this sucker was compared to my Aguilar and Markbass heads.

Pic shows the head on my Aguilar stuff, but I tried it on my other three Markbass cabinet stacks as well and it sounds great on them.

I have the exact same P bass.

It's an American Professional, right? Mine is a 2015, it's the only bass I have at the moment.
Yes, mine is a Professional I bought last year new.

I have a Markbass TTE500 with four tubes going through a fifteen it sounds really good through, but the Quilter really brings out its tone and makes it sound amazing!

Yeah, we're both using the same combo and it works really well.
I've recently acquired both a BDDI and a Shift Line Olympic preamp and depending on what I want to do I use the amp alone or its line in with preamp pedals. I recently realized that not many class D amps have a line in, maybe the BB800 is the only one. I'm not a technician so I don't know if using the FX return on an amp is the exact same thing, but the BB800 works great as a power amp.
I also realized that I don't need the BDDI anymore since the Olympic already gives me all the tones I need, and it's a tube preamp.

I’ll have to check out that Olympic then, I have never heard of them before.
I was thinking of getting a Messa preamp to use with the Quilter, and just use the power section of the Quilter.

Good to hear your setup works!

Nice so it's not adhered to the top, just screwed in?

It's a sticker. No screws.

Did you have to loosen the screws on the side?
It looks great that way.

Don't have to loosen any or do anything to remove it.

If you remove the 4 screws on the top of the amp, the entire amp just slides out of the surrounding metal chassis. Very easy. it might make it a little easier to get to the edges of the sticker. But I don't think you have to.

I actually think it looks very cool like this, and prefer it.
